After Wednesday's all-day drama surrounding Saturday's Tea Party rally in Indianola, Iowa -- with headliner Sarah Palin reportedly ready to cancel her scheduled appearance -- Palin's fans were understandably perplexed.
It appeared that the event's organizers, a new group called Tea Party of America founded by Ken Crow, had provoked an unnecessary controversy by a last-minute decision to add former Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell to the rally schedule. Tuesday, O'Donnell was disinvited and then re-invited, and by Wednesday morning, Palin's participation in the event was reported to be "on hold." Then O'Donnell was finally disinvited and, at last word, Palin had agreed to go on with Saturday's show.
The very public controversy seemed almost perfectly calculated to promote the media's stereotype of Palin as difficult and demanding. NBC News reported:
Tea Party of America President Ken Crow told NBC News, "I had to cancel Ms. O'Donnell" after a conversation with Sarah Palin aides - and is now hopeful Palin will attend the Saturday rally in Indianola.
He was told by Palin's team that he'd have a final answer shortly.
This comes after failed Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell was in, then out, then back in, and now indefinitely out. And Palin was in, then "on hold."
Daily Caller reported:
An organizer of the much-publicized tea party rally in Iowa this weekend says Sarah Palin would not be doing herself any favors if she drops out of the event.
"I hope that isn't so...It would hurt her more than hurt us," event organizer Ken Crow, the co-founder and president of the Tea Party of America, told TheDC...

Also Crow has changed his story. Yesterday he said he got emails from Tea Partiers and Palin fans. Today it was Palins camp. He's a Perry supporter.
Sorry but perry has shown only that he did not disturb a good thing. He is not the going to do anything to advance and save us. He will only be looking to get reelected. Been there. Done that. Ie Bush 1, ford, dole, Bush 2. Not doing it. If we can’t get it fixed it will be people who keep nominating establishment people who LIKE status quo.
I used to be a Palin supporter until she went reality television celebrity. She’s not a serious candidate for POTUS.
Whether you like it or not, the people who do not live in the Palin Will Save Us bubble see that she was ran out of office due to her bad law she signed. You can try and excuse, explain and pretend that it wasn’t so but it doesn’t change the facts.
As to the comment about career politicians just how is Palin’s career choices any different? She’s been in politics most of her adult life. If she was Perry’s age and more competent she might actually have more years under her belt as a career politician.
Give me a named source that says Crow is a Perry supporter as you said is post 61.(BTW just because Crow could have showed interest in Perry speaking at a tea party gathering does not make him a supporter.)No one knows this or the entire fiasco as anything but rumor. The following is as official as it is going to get unless you call Crow and the 2012 Iowa Caucuses liars and I think Crow showed class in his response.

In fact by your line of thought a week or two ago you were probably wanting Romney because he was ahead on all the polls and had the “best chance of beating Obama”. Right?
Shes been in politics most of her adult life
She started out in the PTA. Didn't like what she saw and ran for city council at age 28. Yup. That's a "career" politician. /s
Perry has been in politics since 84, even changing parties. Funny, Palin is STILL a Republican....
Wait! Hold the presses! PERRY IS A QUITTER!!!
So you can’t argue the fact that there is absolutely no comparison to governing the 2nd largest state with the world’s 15 largest economy for over 10 years with only serving a half term in a state of 710,000 people with the country’s 47th economy.
You can’t compare a leader who understand exactly how to go to other states and foreign countries to woo them to relocate to Texas because it’s the country’s number 1 business friendly state.
You can’t see the difference in a person who has held numerous statewide positions for several terms being better qualified from someone who has a history of leaving the job when she feels she’s completed her goals or can’t face the consequences of sighing a bad law that was being used to bankrupt not just the state but herself.
SP isn’t the only “True Conservate” in this race. The last time I looked being Pro life, Pro 2nd Amendment, pro business, pro low taxes, pro states rights, pro military (you know like actually serving), and pro secured border were “True Conservative” positions.
Why do you bother asking with the Palin only crew it is always someone else’s fault and it is getting old. They make up dates of announcements and then blame the media when they reported the date.Palin has thrown water on the announcement as the articled link I posted said but some here still swear she must be announcing that is why Palin does not want COD there. It is a sad made up soap opera in they’re own minds and I am sick of it.It does not reflect well on Palin.
Crow, apparently not realizing that I was a nobody who has never even met Perry, let alone someone who has any sway whatsoever with his campaign (in fact, Ive not endorsed any candidate and I was simply there as a favor to a friend), told me he wanted to meet with the Texas Governor and perhaps endorse him in the near future.
Crow is a bumbling idiot.
I love Sarah Palin, Crow told me, but I know for a fact she aint gonna run.
What sealed it for me was listening to Crows interview with WHO Radios Simon Conway yesterday (Podcast here). In one exchange (18:30 of the Podcast), Conway told Crow, you shouldnt comment on [Palin running for President] Ken, because people will start reading between the lines and, you know, weve gotta make it clear we still dont know if shes gonna announce.
That is true, was Crows puzzling repsonse.
In other words, Ken Crow and Tea Party of America are just using the hype of a potential Palin announcement to promote their event.
She is a politician. If Perry or Romney or George Jetson asked her to be VP she would say you betcha and you know it.
While Romney led in his ten minutes of fame, it was seen by most observers to be in an un-settled field. That field is now set.
For the love of God and everything holy get a grip.So now Crow is ‘using’ Palin? You should go become a writer for the young and the restless or get some fresh air, please.
I guess you still can’t figure out how to comprehend what you read.
Palin was 28 when she got in politics while Perry was 34. She’s had a few gaps of course but that’s only because she lost an election or two.
Perry isn’t the only good leader that has switched parties. It’s really kind of dumb going there since so many democrats have fled that party over the years.
What pundits should be talking about when it comes to Palin
As governor in 2007, Palin was responsible for the largest veto totals in state history, while investing $1 billion in forward-funding education and fulfilling public safety and infrastructure necessities.
Palin reduced spending by 9.5% from 2007 to 2010 and slashed earmark requests by over 80% during her time as governor.
Palin tossed out the corruption-ridden, structurally-flawed Petroleum Profits Tax of the Murkowski administration and put forth ACES (Alaskas Clear and Equitable Share), which incentivized development while seeing to it that Alaskans resource owners as per the Alaska Constitution would receive A CLEAR and EQUITABLE SHARE (ACES) of the value of their commonly-owned oil and gas. The result? Alaska was left with a $12 billion surplus. Also, as reported at Big Government, The number of oil companies filing with the Alaska Department of Revenue has doubled, indicating that competition has indeed increased. Alaska has the second most business friendly tax set-up up two spots since the passage of ACES. Additionally, a report from Governor Parnells Department of Revenue indicated that 2009 yielded a record high in oil jobs.
And who’s minding the store when he’s on the campaign trail? And who’s paying for his campaign trips?
Never gonna happen.
This guy doesn't think much of Crow either.
Indianola Clusterbleep - Robert Stacy McCain
Crows doing an Amateur Hour act in Iowa, and he seems to be trying to convey the impression that hes doing Sarah Palin a favor by letting her speak at an event that wouldnt be a blip on the radar outside Iowa if Crow hadnt been billing Palin as the headliner for more than a month!
But Crow is meanwhile trying to spin this as an aw shucks were just ordinary folks thing, when Crow is the know-it-all self-promoter who got himself into a position where hes clearly over his head.
She has already said she is not going to run for Senate in AZ. She was asked in Iowa and gave a direct answer.
Perry being a quitter is as valid as saying Palin is one. Like I told ya before:
Next time you talk to someone that has quit a job, or smoking or drinking, tell them they're a "quitter". And that WHY they quit doesn't matter. Your dentist will love you.
