James Carville’s Prayer for a Third Party Candidate: Hillary or Sarah
Big Hollywood ^ | August 12, 2011 | Michael Moriarty

Posted on 08/13/2011 12:17:53 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

I was terrified of the prospect of a third party candidate. A three-way, split vote might very well … if the third candidate were viable and interesting … insure the re-election of the worst President in American history, Barack Obama. Nothing would make James Carville happier.

Unless, of course, this third party candidate were Hillary Clinton!

Carville would be strapping on two Colt 45’s, lock n’ load, and mosey on down to the 2012 OK Corral right behind the Secretary of State. Hillary Clinton is now, if you don’t mind my saying so, Carville’s “Main Man”.

James Carville is not, if you remember, a “Judas” like former Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico.

The Third Party Possibility was a worry I had dispelled awhile ago when Glenn Beck seemed adamant about not running for the Presidency on a Third Party ticket.

Now we have James Carville absolutely certain that someone, so far unnamed, will run against both the Republican and Democratic Candidates.

“I think,” said Glenn Beck in November of 2009,“a third party candidate is going to win in 2012!”

Was Beck talking about himself then?

No.

Beck, in 2009, mentioned Sarah Palin as a third party candidate.....

Sarah would never do a dumb thing like that.

It would be great if Hillary! went third party, she’d split the Dem vote.

But she’s far to cowardly to do that. She’d never live to see the wrong side of sixty-five if she did. Nader was all but lynched.

Hillary! might yet have a go at Barack in the primaries.

Magical Mystery got the boot? I thought he was here for a while? A Romneybot to boot. I didn’t even get the ping yet. What are you going to do. That was quite a thread though. A lot of fun.

Jim Thompson got no paitience for Romney bots fo sho.

Neither do I.

I really think Palin is concerned about the GOP nominating a RINO.

I’m not convinced it would be “That Dumb”.

Things do change. Something NEEDS to change.

Governor Palin’s not-announced run and 0bambi’s growing unpopularity among LIBs just might create a scenario like this: 1) 0bambi continues his re-election bid, sinking like a rock and RINO Romney gets the stupid party bid, with some nameless dweeb as VP. 2)BOTH the LIBs and Conservatives are BOTH upset. LIBs convince SWMNBN to run while Sarah Palin runs as a Conservative alternative. 3)Palin beats SWMNBN, with the two “major” parties a distant last. 4) The SHTF!

If Sarah Palin ran as a third party candidate, all she would do is siphon votes away from the GOP nominee, guaranteeing Obama’s reelection. Hillary would, of course, take away votes from Obama.

3rd Party with things as screwed up as they are now, we may end up with four parties running ‘Bammy’, ‘Hitlery’, Sarah, and (insert the RINO of you choice here). Me I'll have to vote absentee because I ‘bugging out’ before the SHTF no matter who wins!

>> Hillary! might yet have a go at Barack in the primaries.

She might indeed. And she would defeat him handily, IMO.

Therefore I hope she *doesn’t* do it. Obama is very beatable in the general, even by some of the current crop of lame (R) candidates.

Hillary might indeed defeat Obama in a fair primary fight, but don’t expect a fair primary fight on Barkie’s part if she challenges him.

If she did win it might well help seal a GOP win. Barkie’s and Eric Holder’s people would have a huge hissy fit and stay home. Or Barkie would run as a third party candidate!

Pure Speculation: If Hillary does run against BHO in the primaries, she runs the risk of losing, again, and relegating herself to the history books. Even if she does win, what is her campaign going to be? -I am not BHO, I will keep spending but not as much?

I like to think the Hillary Clinton has gotten as far as she will get in politics.

The Tea Conseratives have to start somewhere. A RINO is as bad as the jackass we have now. I say, run Sarah, run. Third party, 8th column, anything, but start to build a strong voice for true Americans, including normal union workers and regular teachers fed up with their ball and chains from their organization. And Sarah is Young enough to make it again in 16.

Teas need to consentrate on crashing the Senate. Take over and if buzzie makes it again, sure won’t be fun for him.

This would be a pretty hot topic article if it didn’t mention “Serpent Head”.

People tend to quit reading as soon as they see his name.

As somebody who wanted your guy to win the Democrat nomination in 1992 because I (and a lot of people) thought he was mortally damaged goods...be careful what you wish for, James. You might get it.
