Big bucks like to back a heavy favorite. They don’t like to “waste” their money.
I am not particularly dedicated to any one candidate at this point, just making an observation. Perry’s state’s rights stand on homo “marriage” did not impress me; I find it legally and morally flawed.
You beat me to the question. I was going to ask the same thing.
Perry can be called a lot of things... panderer, scoundrel, demagogue... but a RINO is not one of them.

It’s grassroots, but you don’t live under him. Considering that he’s been our REPUBLICAN governor for a decade now and at least half of the Texans on this site don’t want him as president...and feel that there are better people running, should give people a lot of pause.
The MSM is trying to tear down Perry already, they know he can beat Zero. Some people, including freepers here will fall for it.

I was extremely suspicious over the Trans Texas corridor debacle. He wanted to sell it to European consortions for mega bucks.

Yeah, Rick Perry has better pro-life credentials, too. But only because he represents a constituency where it is important.
Would he make a better president than ObaMao? Sure he would. But he isn't anywhere close to the best we can do.
