Former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty continued his focus on reports that Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann suffers from serious migraines, saying Friday that his campaign is not pushing the story.
I checked with our staff, Mr. Pawlenty said Friday. They said they did not push the Bachmann story. In fact they reminded me that the sources for the story were her, apparently, her former staff.
Mr. Pawlentys comment comes just days after The Daily Caller reported the story, citing sources close to Ms. Bachmann.
All of the candidates I think are going to have to be able to demonstrate they can do all of the job all of the time, Mr. Pawlenty told reporters earlier this week. Theres no real time off in that job.
The former Minnesota governor clarified his remarks Thursday, telling Fox News that his comments were taken out of context.
You know, I think its mostly a sideshow, Greta. Ive observed Congresswoman Bachmann. Ive never seen her have a medical condition or impairment that would seem to be a concern, Mr. Pawlenty said.
Im confident that our campaign did not push that story, and again it appears to have been sourced to her former staff, Mr. Pawlenty added.
Meanwhile, Ms. Bachmann defended her candidacy, saying reports are overblown and that she remains healthy.
I have prescription medication that I take whenever symptoms arise and they keep the migraines under control, Ms. Bachmann said in statement. Let me be abundantly clear my ability to function effectively has never been impeded by migraines and will not affect my ability to serve as Commander in Chief.
Looks like jilted former Bachmann staffers rather than Pawlenty were the ones making a big deal of her migraines. Wouldn’t be surprised if they had a little nudge from Rove or Romney’s camp along the way. Probably advertising themselves for hire to whoever looking for staffers.
Yep and a lesson is taught to the FR folks who, not long ago, were heartily endorsing him because of his "conservative" philosophies. Without the moral character to be a true paradigm of conservative values, the candidate is nothing more than a progressive lib with conservative leanings.
If you could only hear yourself...LOL
Going Negative you say? Being the first to do it you say? LOL
MICHELE BACHMANN WAS THE FIRST TO GO NEGATIVE HIRING ED ROLLINS! Not yelling, emphasizing point.
And now MB camp is firing back at TPAW? Why bother to attack TPAW, he is not going anywhere in polls, and after all MB has Iowa in the bag according to LSM supporters.
ANSWER: Because it is exactly as I have been saying, much of Bachmann support is manufactured by LSM/Rep establishment, and their joint stable of pollsters.
Once Sarah Palin gets in the race none of these fellas will know what hit them!
Bachmann could only manage raising 2 million bucks since officially announcing, as a great Freeper said, Sarah will raise more than that before lunch, when she announces.
The amount Sarah will raise will probably break records, a bunch of records, I suspect a one day record, first week record. It will be in the multi millions.
Meanwhile MB,TPAW will fight over bragging rights to a meaningless straw poll.
Those are the facts. Your pathetic attempts to show otherwise are futile and...well...stupid.
Pretty much like her movie, huh?
Bachmann’s voting record doesn’t change the fact that she missed votes because she was incapacitated with migraines.
That makes Bachmann a liar when she says Let me be abundantly clear my ability to function effectively has never been impeded by migraines and will not affect my ability to serve as Commander in Chief.
If you want pathetic, that is pathetic - along with your juvenile “shoot the messenger” temper tantrum.
Here is a free clue for you: When your candidate for President makes you squirm on a regular basis - you picked a bad one.
I squirm about Michele Bachmann about as much as you squirm about Sarah Palin... although maybe you did after seeing the huge amount of disinterest in the movie about her. And your "fallback" is Pawlenty? Nothing more needs be said.
Just bookmarked your post, we will talk again after Sarah announces!
Looking forward to rubbing your nose in it
By the looks of your posts, your nose has already been places I don't even want to think about.
