This could be some of the early shots in the contest for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination.
On Tuesdays Kilmeade and Friends on the Fox News Radio network, former Huckabee campaign manager Ed Rollins, who signed up with potential presidential candidate Minnesota Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann on Monday, explained why he decided to join the Bachmann camp.
Well Im going to work for Michele Bachmann if she runs, Rollins said. Thats the one that intrigues me the most at this point and I think to a certain extent shes articulate, shes a conservative. Shes got a great story to tell. Shes on the Intelligence Committee. You know, shes unknown to the national audience, but shell become known and thats the candidacy that Im going to work for if she runs.
But Rollins, with his own history of playing offense in presidential campaigns, took a few shots at former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who could be a potential rival for Bachmann.
Sarah has not been serious over the last couple of years, Rollins said. She got the vice-presidential thing handed to her. She didnt go to work in the sense of trying gain more substance. She gave up her governorship. You know, I think Michele Bachmann and others have worked hard. She has been a leader of the Tea Party, which is a very important element here. Shes an attorney, done extraordinary things with family values and what have you. So I think she will connect. Shes a great, great communicator and I would say in the race right [now] today, she is probably the best communicator.

Bachmann is getting reamed on her Facebook page for Ed’s intellectual diarrhea.
Everyone needs to call, fax or e-mail her people to show thir displeasure.
Backstabbing &*$%#*(*()&&: "I love you, Mitt.
I'll hire Rollins for you.
We will attack (Gov.) Palin (who helped me) for you."
So Michele wants to be the vice president, is that it?
I can even boil it down to simpler terms....The idea that she even considered running against Sarah Palin shows such poor judgment!
I lost all respect for her the moment that she reached that conclusion, long before she hired Ed R
my opinion of MB declined the moment I heard her say basically, that running against Sarah Palin was no big deal.
The idea that she even entertained at any point running against Gov Palin, shows she does not have the good judgment to be President.
I’m not counting Bachmann out over the long haul. There are still too many conservative politicians who’re slow to understand the tried and failed past GOP election tactics have been replaced by a different dynamic set. Perhaps Backmann will see the error of her ways eventually.
Real conservative voters are in the driver’s seat now. We will not vote for RINOs or libertarians. The Rove-Bush campaigns were focused on attacking Bush’s opponents. We really learned very little about Bush’s political philosophies. All we got were were vague conservative platitudes. We heard nothing about his and his father’s “New World Order” nonsensense.
Not gonna go down that road again. The conservative candidate must declare his/her political objectives and policies. Let the demrat live or die attacking that. He or she surely cannot prevail on a Marxist platform.
Way too much is made of hormones. I give you Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher and Joan d’Arc.
Intellect, assuming there is any, will trump hormones everytime.
Absolutely! He was a very poor choice for Michele. He is too much of a (losing) loose cannon to be Rollins around on the deck of her ship without a tight fitting muzzle. He will personally tank her run for the WH.
I had a few minutes to kill, so I took a quick look at your participation in Palin threads, and quite often this was what I found.
You do not like listening to her for more than a few moments at a time.
You were almost offended by the idea that a pollster had her out front. You went into some detail how you found this troubling.
As I said thank you for your service, but your support or half baked support of Sarah does not come across as genuine, at least to me.
On another thread you seem to be in agreement with well known poster with initials RH.
Really anybody today that says they are a big supporter of Palin, yet likes MB better has to be suspect to me, especially with the MB camp bashing of Sarah, btw this did not just begin with Ed Rollins, but has been going on for months.
Ed Rollins in the camp cannot be good. I would be very worried.
I have no information about this “going on for months” however if you did as much research on me as you say, then you no doubt saw my post vis a vis Rollins. I have no respect for the man and I really hope that he is not kept on board by the Bachmann camp. If she keeps him on I would find that....troubling.
Even so, I am firmly supporting Herman Cain, Bachmann is more of a fall back. If Palin gets in, she would likely move up on my list, but until Cain bows out I am supporting him. If Sarah gets in and polls with such force to be the only true challenger to Romney, and Cain fades....? I have no problem at all supporting her for the nomination over Herman.
“You were almost offended by the idea that a pollster had her out front. You went into some detail how you found this troubling.”
I won’t ask you for a link, why make you go searching through my old posts again, right? But I can’t recall a poll having her out front much less being offended by it.
Not doubting what you said, I am just suffering from a faulty memory at the moment.
