For any other candidate, raining on a presidential announcement parade would be seen as sabotage. Not former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
The 2012 presidential candidate told CNNs Piers Morgan Monday that he wasnt offended when former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin appeared in the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire on the same day he was set to formally announce his intention to seek the 2012 GOP nomination for president.
In fact, though Romney shared his plans one week in advance and Palin insisted on keeping the destination of her top-secret bus tour under wraps until the day before her New Hampshire appearance, Romney insisted that the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee really didnt ruin my day.
In a lot of respects its the best thing that could happen to me, he said on CNNs Piers Morgan Tonight.
Right now, your greatest enemy is overexposure. People get tired of seeing the same person day in and day out.
And Romney, who also sought the GOP nomination in 2008, had nothing but kind words for Palin, whos still batting around the will-she-or-wont-she question....

Romney is about as entertaining as a hemorrhoid..when he announced he is running no one gave a crap about it
The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"Im told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palins people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off .hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"
"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"
He does that just by being himself.
Go Romney! Go Palin!
Romney? I thought he died some time ago.
Aren’t these the rat’s talking points... oh wait, he is a rat deep inside.
She’s been so great about attacking him. He can’t fight back without looking like an ass. Not that looking like an ass has ever stopped him from doing anything, but even he knows not to overtly attack her. Meanwhile, she’ll compliment him, tear up his record, then compliment him again with a nice smile.
A guy like him has no answer for that other than to send his subordinates out to smear her. But since he was already doing that, he’s got no cards left to play.
Willard could get a VP slot.
The best thing that could happen to you, Hairdo (sunkenciv told me to call him that), is to get hit by Sarah’s bus.
Palin/Bolton
vs.
Obama/Romney
I had no idea he even announced..read it online..the media didn’t even report it yet they want us to believe that HE is the one they fear LOL
No go Romney, Romney should not even be in GOP politics, much less running for President.
The future remains unknown.
You are thinking of the anti-war Presidential candidate Romney in 1968, this is the draft evading Presidential candidate, his son Mitt.
He means that Sarah will force him to pretend he is a conservative and that will help him win the primary.
It is Romney who is engaging in sabotage. Statements demanding that Sarah should announce that she will not run. Painting her as an outsider. Promoting the idea that she is 'unelectable'. At least CNN loves him, right?
Santorum: Conservative
Bachmann: Conservative
Herman Cain: Conservative
Pawlenty: Semi-Conserative
Newt: Fading fast
Johnson: Not getting any traction
Ron Paul: Has his own army of fanatical Libertarians
Huckabee: Not running
Romney: Definitely a RINO
So if Palin gets in, it certainly helps Romney by dividing
the conservative vote further in primaries. No wonder he is
thinking her and encouraging her.
