If our country is so far gone that anyone running for office on any parties ticket needs a massive, armed escort 24/7 then something is terribly wrong with the political system in this country.
Seems like the lines are drawn and everyone is waiting for the first shot to be fired.
VP Teddy Roosevelt was pelted with mudballs by angry newspaper boys. He cussed them out. That was America.
I am so sick of these chickenhawk politicians who turned DC into an armed spider hole. Screw them! They’re too dainty to even see a protest sign now. I’d like to see a few tarred and feathered. Remember when Prince Charles got mobbed awhile back? A few scenes like that would do the USA a lot of good.
30 years ago, a guy shot the President and received a fair trial. That would never happen today.
Of course, we don't have "Presidents" anymore. Omnipotent rulers who turned DC into a spider hole and never see a hostile face.
