We've never elected a president without some government service, so there goes Mr. Trump and Mr. Cain. We've only elected one person to the White House with only the House of Representatives on their resume and that was 151 years ago in an election where the Democrats were split three ways, so that takes care of Congresswoman Bachmann. That leaves Governor Sarah Palin, based on Dr. Borst's analysis. We elect governors all the time, it's what we do. Governors, vice-presidents, generals and senators, pretty much in that order.

CAIN/BOLTON
But hoping Forbes will jump in. He made a pronouncement about the gold standard this week. It got some publicity but I suspect the msm doesn’t want his name out there too broadly.

Maybe this year will be different.
This year, we are looking for someone who hasn’t been part of the problem.
I think Herman Cain will carry the “we need a businessman who understands the economy” faction, the “we need an outsider” faction, the “we HAVE to secure the border” faction, the “we need a FIGHTER faction”, the “we must have total government reform, and tax reform” faction.
The biggest thing this election will be the Fair tax, to take power away from Washington DC and give it back to the people.
Herman supports the Fair Tax - do Sarah, Michelle , and Donald?
And being so open about his WHOLE life will endear him to a lot of people who may still be stinging from getting the wool pulled over their eyes by the teleprompter reader.
Think of the focus groups reaction on a national scale, and I think were talking a Reagan size landslide.

The whole issue seems incredulous until one looks at it from another angle. Isn't anybody able to write English anymore?

Newsweek wanted to know if he were tough enough for the job. That's "was." Just because the word "if" appears somewhere in the neighborhood doesn't mean you use the subjunctive.

There is a man who has been fighting Obama politically, has confronted him in person and has openly shunned him. He also happens to run the most prosperous, business friendly state in our country. His name is Rick Perry. Like him or not, he's the one with the balls and the record to back them up.
I look at a Perry/Ryan-Perry/West as a pretty tough ticket.
