That’s mighty white of Patrick Roberts to “allow” Sarah back in the race, especially since she hasn’t yet announced she’s running.

Sarah Palin is the only political figure I have seen in the last 50 years or so who I am absolutely convinced will place
the country's interest foremost over any and all personal interests with the possible exception of her family's safety.
I can certainly live with that.
I hope she runs and wins.

If Pawlenty is cutting into donor funds and support Romney would otherwise get, it is a win-win for us and a lose-lose for those two, maybe.
Rumors are that Huckabee may announce today that he is NOT running. That could clear a past for a more staunch conservative.
Trump seems to have trumped himself out of contention.
Gingrich is still Gingrich and the MSM are sorting though his trainload of baggage.
Daniels still hasnt gotten his wifes permission to run.
Some are starting to push for Fred Thompson thats how lackluster the GOP list is at present.

Huckabee just said on Fox&Friends that he will make his announcement TONIGHT on his program, not during the day interviews/commentaries.
FYI
[I have no idea what time his program is on, as I have never watched it. NBC is burning off remaining episodes of Chase at 7:00 CT.]

Be intersting to see if they drag old Jeb out o da bushes for a last ditch run.
He seems to be saving himself for 2016, especially if the GOP nominates a lackluster loser.
I have no doubt he will run, eventually. Running against a miserable 2nd Term of Obama may offer a better springboard for him than running against an incumbent next year.

Contrary to my studious avoidance of talking politics at church I got into a conversation with a good friend last year as we were both waiting for our daughters to get registered at summer camp. He knows I've got an opinion on just about everything and asked who I thought would be the '012 R candidate. I told him the one I saw myself supporting without reservation was a certain former governor who hunts caribou to feed her family. He said he was leaning toward another ex-governor and former Baptist preacher. We basically gob smacked each other.
I think there are conservative and religious people who believe Gov. Palin is heavily damaged goods, if not the idiot the media try to portray her as, and others (like me) who view Huckabee as a not-so-closet statist and fraud who's just a Hostess Twinkie away from a 150 pound regain (just wait till they get a load of his kids - something the press would make sure is page 1 material every day from the convention to election). If Huck is dropping out some, maybe most, of his support could gravitate to Palin (if she decides to run). Personally, if she does run I'm looking forward to her participation in debates. From what I've seen of her capabilities it will be Snow White vs. the however many Dwarves.

I would like to get back to respecting Huck and even enjoying his show! If he decides not to run as it seems, that would be a first big step! However I am very skeptical of him for some reason.
I predicted some time ago that if Sarah ran and Huck did not, that he would NOT endorse her/Sarah, I still stand by that prediction, but I hope to be proven wrong! Huck do the right thing, do NOT run and DO endorse Sarah!
I say he does not run, and does NOT endorse Sarah.
I hope/pray to God that he does Not run and DOES endorse Sarah....I just don’t see it happening, unfortunately!
He will endorse someone else!

Speaking as a person who doesn't support Sarah Palin for President I think a Huck withdrawal would most benefit Palin. The majority of those who supported Huck though will probably go into the undecided column for quite some time.

I think the huckaboob who's regained a lot of weight is running!!
His entry would seem to cancel the chances of Chris Christie being drafted, unless the two fatso liberals run as the "unbeatable, heavy weight" team.
Why would the Huckster use his TV program to make an announcement that he's NOI running?
He also has a new DVD package for children coming out about American histyory in cartoon mode. The man is money hungry.
He didn't write that recent book, *Goverment Made Simple,* or whatever its title, not to run, IMO.

There are a fair number of evangelical women that think that she should be raising her kids; and a number of evangelical men that think that men should be the leaders. This explains some of the division of the support between Sarah and the Huckster. As for me; I hope she is reloading.

I am also in that same belief. There is no way that Huck will pass up that kind of dominant popularity among Republicans, when he has not even begun to campaign.
He will already have a strong lead, if and when he announces. He has been researching his potential donations and support the past several months quite intensely. Several large Corporations have held their funding, waiting to see what the field will be.

Perhaps it is a flawed equivalency for knowledgeable voters, but the surface perception of Huck is that he is religious and conservative. And maybe on the down-home likeable factor they are comparable, altho I don’t like him that much.

Yes, they have placed expectations so low that if she sounds at all intelligent and well spoken - and even gets in a few zingers - she will have won on improving perception alone.
0bama is running, so the Republican debates will be the only show in town for politically interested independents.
We shall see - hopefully.
