ABC News' Amy Walter reports: A new ABC News/Wash. Post poll finds that in a head to head match-up against President Barack Obama, 70% of those who say they are Tea Party supporters say they'll vote for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for president--compared to 69% for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee. Seeming Tea Party favorites like former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, meanwhile, draw 61% and 60%, respectively....

Trying to pick our candidate again.

Yep. Hopefully we learned our lesson last time.

Does anyone here really believe that Gomer Huckleberry and Myth Romney are more popular than Gov. Palin and Rep. Bachmann among REAL tea party members?

No way.

Screw the MSM; we’ll (maybe?) pick our own candidates this time...and anything over 50% +1 is a WINNER, so let’s get the BEST winner for us; not just the biggest number winning RHINO.

It's the support that the mainstream GOP gave to yutzes like Romney that prevents me from giving them a single penny. I've given to individual candidates before, but not to the party, not until they get back to what conservatism really is and not the "can we get this guy elected?" mentality. I lost all respect for those bums when they put up....Dole against Clinton, simply because it was HIS TURN???? Please. And McLame? Another yucking futz.

I trust Romney about as far as I can spit a piano. Palin knows what the problems are, has some good solutions, and can articulate them without the use of a teleprompter. Romney, sad to say, was gov of Massachusetts when Teddy was around, and apparently went along with the "machine" in that state. BZZZZZZT! Thanks for playing!! Now go home.

I don’t mind someone “thumping the Bible,” as some disrespectfully say, but, NO to Huckabee - he’s a big RINO.

Nope, Palin/West 2012. We don’t have until 2016 to wait. This country is in a crisis. Now is the time!

That right there is funny, folks. [/cableguy]

Whether it's ABC or CNN or Scott Rasmussen, the pollsters are just going wild with their numbers these days.

The 'Republican John Kerry' has announced he's running for President. Now he has to try to overcome his flip-flopping on abortion, gay marriage and RomneyCare.

Mitt's 'I was for it but now I'm against it' RomneyCare is a millstone around his neck, it's made him unelectable.

You'll need a weathervane to determine which way Romney will stand on any given issue. Mitt will change his policies at any given moment depending on who is listening. Just too fake, plastic and untrustworthy.

Charles Baker In 2006 when Romneycare was being instituted, Romney's friends were celebrating. Charlie (I only made $1.7 million at Harvard Pilgrim) Baker got a gold-mine future in the insurance industry with the mandatory purchase of insurance - not a tax, but a purchase you can't refuse. Obamacare and Romneycare - the two are very, similar.

Please choose a better nominee. This guy is a phony.

Mitt Romney

Romneycare = Obamacare which = Big Government
Big Government = End of liberty = End of America
Repeal Obamacare
Repeal Romneycare

I cannot for the life of me see what Romney has that we need.
Whatever you say you need, he'll say he's got. Go ahead, name it; Romney'll claim it.

This guy flip-flops more than Kerry. And it will be easy for the dims to show it.

The media is salivating over Romney because he'll be so easy for The Kenyan King to run against.

Chihuahua Mitt Romney (hiding somewhere):
”Now that my Romneycare (funded 60% by US taxpayers)
is being pushed by my chosen (RINO) “Republicans" and the Tea_Party,
a little self examination is in order.
You may want to ask yourself 'if I had spent my time promoting
RomneyCare and Mitt Romney, could not
I have today garnered more support
of both our beloved President Obama and me?'
.
Now listen to my Team Romney attack the GOP women and children,
as you all go play with your little bananas.“

"Romney praises Obama
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney praised President Obama
at a GOP fundraising dinner Wednesday ..
"I also think it's important for us to nod to the president when he's right," Romney said....
Romney, who spoke at a dinner for the National Republican Senatorial Committee,
said he's pleased with the president's plans to "finish the job" in Iraq and Afghanistan
-- lines that drew applause from the partisan audience. He also applauded the president
for standing up to the auto industry.
"I hope he continues to be tough ....The former businessman even offered faint praise for
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, saying that after a series of initial missteps,
"I think he's finally getting close to the right answer."

Milt delivered a GREAT quote on Hannity this week
which describes how pompous and Magic Milt actually views himself.

Chihuahua Romney - the Magic RINO and Self-Declared Tea-Party Emperor:
"I have had a lifetime of service
…. in the private sector."

(Romney on Hannity, 16.15 EST, 4/18/2011)

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn't make any sense at all.""

--  President Ronald Reagan

Compare and Contrast:

Chihuahua Romney - the Self-Declared King of Tea-Party:
”My lawyers say Obama was born in the United States,
and that Obama doesn’t need a Birth Certificate (like me!!!!!), and that
all citizenship tests have been passed by Obama.".
