Trump Knocks Obama, Calls Romney ‘Small’.
The Wall Street Journal's Washington Wire ^ | April 17, 2011 | Neil King Jr.

Posted on 04/17/2011 11:18:37 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

To hear The Donald tell it, he totally trumps President Barack Obama as a messenger and far outweighs Mitt Romney as a businessman.

Riding a surge in the polls recently, Donald Trump let loose on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, blaming Mr. Obama for soaring oil prices and disparaging Mr. Romney, the former Massachusetts governor and his potential rival for the 2012 Republican nomination, as “basically small business guy.”

Showing his usual flair for letting it rip, Mr. Trump said the U.S. had become “a laughingstock throughout the world” under Mr. Obama.

Were he president, Mr. Trump said, he would force the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries’ major producers to lower oil prices—even though OPEC has no direct control over the price of oil—and would have invaded Libya “to take the oil” and not just to unseat leader Moammar Gadhafi.

When the CNN host, Candy Crowley, expressed dismay over the comment, Mr. Trump elaborated: “I’d take the oil. I’d give them plenty so they can live very happily. I would take the oil.”

He expressed nostalgia for “the old days, when you have a war and you win, that nation is yours.”

Wrongo again. Palin was hiding behind Karl Rove on the birther issue until Trump went after Obama. She described the issue as ‘annoying’ and a ‘distraction’ as recently as February.

Like I said, I would crawl across broken glass to vote for anyone against Obama (including Palin). The problem is that Palin is a horrible candidate and she has almost no chance of winning. She is toxic..

Like I told you before, I don’t expect her to run. If she does, I am completely certain that she won’t win... Just watch and you’ll see. Don’t worry I will be sure to remind you along the way kiddo.

Palin hiding behind Rove? Are you Nuts?

you complain about people attacking Trump on here and you continually attack Palin.
New flash for you there are many other issues than the BC. Just because Trump panders to your favorite topic does not mean he is a conservative.

As far as no chance of winning new Rasmussen poll shows Obama 49% Trump 34% via Drudge

Palin has more a chance of beating Obama than Trump.

"ROFL...you want cheap gas? Elect Palin."

Exactly how is a woman who is given to raising energy TAXES going to lower the price of gas? That's a lot of things, but conservative isn't one of them. Companies don't pay taxes, consumers do - economics 101.

Windfall tax lets Alaska rake in billions from Big Oil

Your stupidity is on display for all to see as per usual.

Not understanding that her full position on US energy policy is exactly what the US needs is beneath even a contemptible curmudgeon.

"Your stupidity is on display for all to see as per usual."

Says the guy who doesn't understand what "windfall profit taxes" are.

Palin raised energy taxes. Companies don't pay energy taxes, consumers do. THIS is the conservative position.

It's not complicated, but apparently beyond the grasp of your tiny, tiny intellect.

As per normal, you pick at a virtually inconsequential matter, not understanding Alaska's constitution in the state wide ownership of resources, while ignoring her full energy policy positions.

Quite typical, quite showing as to who you are.

Congrats for being the dumbest curmudgeon on FR.

And good day to you, sir curmudgeon, bringing your PDS to a Trump thread.

Typical.

"As per normal, you pick at a virtually inconsequential matter"

And, per normal, all you have to offer to ANY conversation is personal invective and insult. Small comments from a small woman.

There is nothing inconsequential about $6B. Nothing.

Palin raised taxes on US gas consumers. It's that simple.

Trump is doing the country a service every single time he attacks Obama. Why anyone who loves this country and complains about it is insane. As far as voting for him, he is not even running yet so who knows. I certainly haven’t selected him as my candidate yet as I don’t know everything I need to know about him. The main thing I give him credit for now is his ability to flat out tell it like it is without the use of ‘policital speak’. Previously, Sarah was a straight shooter too like but she has become too scripted and PC in my opinion.

I’ve not spent time attacking Sarah as I’ve only pointed out that she is a bad candidate (too toxic). Her poll numbers against Obama are nearly as bad as Trumps but Sarahs are unlikely to improve much because people already know what she is about and they don’t like her.

Trump is doing the country a service but Palin isn't I see. So it fair to attack Palin because you don't like her but it isn't fair to attack the person you think is doing the country a service because you like him.

And you still don't see how big of a hypocrite you are. Amazing...

Other than pointing out that Palin is a bad candidate, I’m not sure why you think I ‘attack’ her. Seriously, I’ve been quite open about the fact I would vote for her. The problem is that there are not enough people that would join me in doing so.

As horrific of a job as Obama is doing, he still leads Palin by double digits according to Rasmussen. Sarah is unlikely to become more popular as most people have already made their mind up about her. Independents don’t like her and her popularity among Republicans has dropped off as well.

":Wow nothing like showing to all how uneducated you are about Gov Palin."

And, nothing like showing to all how uneducated you are about very SIMPLE economics.

Raising taxes on producers raises PRICES to consumers. It's very, very elementary.
