Maybe because not all publicity is good publicity.Ok, but when I hear the term "squandered their fame" to me, that denotes having fallen out of the limelight, which is hardly the case here.

I hear the “Yankees for Barbour” committee is very optimistic.
And If Romney falters, as many expect, and Pawlenty fizzles, as seems likely, and Daniels hesitates ... Haley becomes first tier. He’s already making an effort in NH.
No, I’m not on the team.

Thank you so much for your post.
If you had not posted that, I would swear that there are a whole buncha folks on here who are regionalist snobs.
Thankfully, so far, there’s one who’s not...you. ;o)

Interesting...would you care to say why you feel that way?

The first Obama ad will show Haley next to a spraying fire hose grasping a billy club while holding the leashes of four snarling German Shepherd's.
There will be an off camera African American voice urging people to get out the vote before the Black Churches start burning.

What is so different than Bush being blamed for the dragging death of a black man in Texas? Or, the threat of black churches burning if Bush was elected?

Never said it was different. Just saying what the reality of Haley being the Nominees would look like. Haley was also a big Lobbyist before he ran the RNC. That will be another point of attack for the Libtards.
Saw Haley at the SRLC in New Orleans last year. Said hello to him while he and his friends were sitting at the next table when I was having dinner.
Seems like a nice fellow and he is as sharp as a tack. He would have my Vote in a millisecond. Some have posted here that Haley is an Open Borders guy. Not sure about that, but all this should work out during the Debates and Primaries.

I know very few here in Mississippi that want Haley for president... he has had a few major screw ups... much like huck who pardoned killers... Haley did too... and men that should never see the light of day again... He is a corporatist and is horrible on imminent domain. This article lost me when it says Palin has destroyed herself... no candidate has a chance without her approval and if she runs... she will win. No one speaks for Conservatives but us... follow your own mind... following these pundits and the party brought us 15 trillion dollars of debt and the worst president and economy that this Nation has ever known.

The first Obama ad ...
Exactly. And worst of all, the media will take the content of the ad as truth and echo its sentiment in their reporting.

My concern, like that of many “tea party” types, is that part of the reason the cause of conservatives has been so diluted (some might say “hijacked”) is precisely because the Republican leadership has gotten too cozy in the corridors of power. Hence, my comment was directed at the fact that Haley Barbour’s contacts in high places and his relationships with the people who got us into the position of having to fight our own leadership to keep conservative values in the forefront is “not a plus for the rest of us”.
I don’t know what his positions on all the issues are, but rubbing elbows with the “in crowd” is a negative in my book.

Refute the charges against Barbour, don't attack me.
Notice I didn't (as so many PDS trolls, shills, and whores) merely repeat TPM talking points or say "he can't win": I pointed to allegations of *specific* quotes or policy positions with links included.
If you're gonna promote someone on FR, you'd better be prepared to deal with that.
Giving personal invective as the *FIRST* response does not add to your candidate's credibility.
Cheers!
