Barbour: Obama one of "greatest politicians" ever

President Barack Obama is one of America's best politicians ever, according to one of his potential rivals for re-election in 2012.

"The president is one of the greatest politicians in the history of the United States," Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press."

Barbour's comments came during a discussion of Wisconsin's budget battle - a fight that's sparked widespread protests as Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has tried to curtail collective bargaining rights for public employees.

Obama is "quiet [on the issue] because most Americans know this has to be done,"

I have to agree...he’s a great politician...but a politician is not what I want to see in the White House...I want a statesman...and the big “O” has no idea how to be one.
Let me give you a hint Obama...cut the parties, vacations, the midnight run to the Ice Cream store, prioritize your schedule on what’s best for this country...not you...pick up the damn phone at 3:00am and do something!

And.....Obama is exactly in the same league as “The Leader”. Great line of gab, not a lick of substance underneath. Obama, at least will have it easier then the big mouth German dictator. The American people will fire his sorry butt in November, 2012!!!

That’s a premature compliment for a guy who was the lucky beneficary of a perfect political storm. Let’s see where he is two years from now having lost his comfortable majorities in both houses of Congress. Obama has turned this country into an economic basket case, caused catastrophic unemployment, strangled our oil supplies, spent us into oblivion, polarized the population, weakened the military, and allowed a revival of inflation. Against that backdrop, “the greatest politican” will be lucky to get the nomination of his party, much less carry any significant number of states.

I don’t think this is a compliment from a Mississippian. More like an insult.

That's considered a good insult in Mississippi?

Here's my Obama insult.

He's a lying, anti American, Marxist.

And he's not even a good politician. Good politiicans do things that the people want!!!

If I was Gov. Haley Barbour I’d say: “My, he sure can dance. He dances like a smiling chipmunk... yes, reform has to come soon.”

Being called a great politician is no compliment and I’m sure no compliment was intended.

Some of my relatives and other people I know have been taken in by Obama, and they STILL LIKE HIM.

I could see right through Obama from Day 1, but others can’t. He must be a great politician to get so many people to vote for him.

I read the gushing stuff my adult nephew says about him and Planned Parenthood on Facebook, and it’s discouraging.

Haley's not going to run for president, no way.

He's so dangerously overweight now that two months on the stump and creamed-chicken circuit would kill him.

He likes to stay in the limelight, though.....but his immediate problem is he just can't keep his southern-fried lips locked.

Barbour is, and has been a RINO idiot; why these politicians think anyone on the national stage is clamoring for them to run for POTUS is beyond me!?
