Coulter: Sarah Palin shouldn’t run for President (Mark Levin endorses Gov. Sarah Palin!!)

Ann Coulter said Sarah Palin shouldn’t run for President, and in recent weeks Coulter has been in huge favor of Gov. Chris Christie running for President. Ann Coulter believes that if Christie doesn’t run for President, Mitt Romney will win the Nomination and lose to Obama.

“I especially love her for her enemies, I’m insanely jealous of that,” Coulter said. “I love her for how she makes liberal heads explode. I think it would be a step down for her to run for president,” Coulter said, adding that she admires Palin. “She’s huge. She has enormous power. She sends out a Twitter on death panels and everyone’s talking about it.”

“I think it would be crazy for her to run for president”

Ann Coulter even received some criticism from Conservative Talk Show host Mark Levin. “When will my dear friend Ann start to address the substantive problems with Christie’s actual positions or are we going to get another year of “only Christie can win” fortune cookie logic,” said Levin.

I completely disagree with Ann Coulter, she’s underestimating Sarah Palin. While I respect and admire Coulter, she’s wrong about Palin. Sarah Palin is the only true candidate that we need for President. Republicans can not nominate another establishment Republican. We need a Tea Party candidate, such as Palin or Bachmann.

Doesn’t Coulter realize that Christie is weak on the Second Amendment?

They’re both Northeasterners, I guess. She used to be a Romneybot, IIRC.

She is an anti-birther who dates muslims and liberals. I used to like her until she showed she was a phony.

Let’s get real here. Ann is a booze soaked instigator. If the Chardonnay dried up, she would be done. Levin is a solid guy from word one. He is the best annalist of these sort of things. Plus you have the added fun of his rants against RINOS. Mark is dead on.

Let Christie finish fixing New Jersey, then he can seek the presidency if he wants.

He’s a gun-grabber and pro-Mosque at the WTC. Probably the best we can do in New Jersey, though.

We are a shallow and fickle nation.
Many people would not vote for Chris Christie based on his obesity alone.
If he undergoes weight-loss surgery, we'll know something's up.

I’m with Ann. Palin has no shot. Let’s be realistic, people.

Mark Levin read my mind. Palin is my presidential choice because I want to see Michelle stay and raise hell in the House. We need good tea party conservatives throughout government.

I usually say, Sarah Palin is more woman than most women and more man than most men but in this case...

Sarah Palin is more woman than Ann Coulter and more man than Chris Christie/Mitt Romney combined.

Care to back up that drive-by, hit job statement with something solid, or are you just getting paid by the hour to post here?

This for starters.

I love the chick, but, unfortunately, not a whole lot of voting Americans do.

From your Gallup Poll link:

"Now that the 2010 midterms are over, the big question swirling around Palin is whether she will run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. Given her high name recognition and broad popularity among Republicans, 80% of whom now view her favorably, she is clearly in a strong position to seek it."

Sarah (and indeed, no presidential candidate) needs to get 50% of the vote to be elected. She only needs 270 electoral votes, which she is quite likely to get, if she runs. Several Freepers have posted excellent analyses on this.

There isn't a stronger potential candidate in the Republican field, than Sarah Palin. And, I'm not just talking numbers. She has personal attributes and qualities that place her head and shoulders above the rest the potential candidates for 2012. Attributes and qualities that are absolutely essential to lead this country back from the brink of oblivion.

Would you care to compare that ‘all Americans’ Palin unfavorable rating with our current president’s unfavorables among likely voters?

unfortunately, not a whole lot of voting Americans do.

Fortunately, the polling to which you linked does not pertain to "voting Americans", and uses warped sampling in several other ways.

Survey Methods

Results for this Gallup poll are based on telephone interviews conducted Nov. 4-7, 2010, with a random sample of 1,021 adults, aged 18 and older, living in the continental U.S., selected using random-digit-dial sampling. For results based on the total sample of national adults, one can say with 95% confidence that the maximum margin of sampling error is ±4 percentage points.

Interviews are conducted with respondents on landline telephones (for respondents with a landline telephone) and cellular phones (for respondents who are cell phone-only). Each sample includes a minimum quota of 150 cell phone-only respondents and 850 landline respondents, with additional minimum quotas among landline respondents for gender within region. Landline respondents are chosen at random within each household on the basis of which member had the most recent birthday.

Samples are weighted by gender, age, race, education, region, and phone lines. Demographic weighting targets are based on the March 2009 Current Population Survey figures for the aged 18 and older non-institutionalized population living in continental U.S. telephone households. All reported margins of sampling error include the computed design effects for weighting and sample design.

In addition to sampling error, question wording and practical difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into the findings of public opinion polls.
