Let's draft Governor Sarah Palin for President!
Change.Org ^ | November 27, 2010

Posted on 11/27/2010 12:37:39 AM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

America needs a strong, independent, common-sense conservative to lead us out of the recession, the weakness of the current administration and the way the elites have squandered our economy, foreign policy and tax money. That person is Sarah Palin.

Is this gonna be another flamefest?

The media will have a field day with her; if she can defeat THEM, fine. If not we get four more years of Teleprompter Man.
I’d agree with her views for the most part but she has been described as a “polarizing figure” (then again so is Obama
but he has the MSM on his side; Sarah, not so much. But you
never know. They couldn’t stop Reagan, try as they might...)

If the primaries are like ‘08—independents allowed to vote in GOP race—you indeed could get Romney, Huckabee, etc.
That’s how we got McCain, indeed.

(And again say what you want about McCain but he did pick her
as his running mate. Otherwise she would be Sarah Who?
right now...wonder how the GOP ticket would have fared had someone else been at top of ticket, or were we getting Obama no matter what. What if it had been Somebody Else-Palin?)

The media will be brutal. They already are. But if she can
charm them and the people, who knows?

It could very well be a flamefest.

I just saw several of the PDS morons on another thread. I am getting very sick of these sissy freaks and their “I love her but” garbage. They try to hide behind such comments and then proceed to cut her down.

I think many who are not diehard fans are gonna be sick to and tired of seeing, hearing and reading about Sarah Palin long before the 2010 elections.

I see, so she should go into a closet and shut up. Somehow she can get elected if she would stay away.

Gee how horrible, to be constantly hearing about a constitutional conservative against abortion who bashes liberinos day in and day out. Only liberinos will get sick of hearing about Sarah and may she cause them nausea until they vomit their wicked guts out.

how about letting the woman prove herself on the campaign trail against the best we have first?... let the best candidate win and then we unite against Obama.. so far Palin’s claim to fame is a half term as governor of the smallest populated state in the country and being Juan Mclame’s VP candidate

If she kicks ass on the trail against all the other candidates running and I think she can be elected I’ll vote for her without hesitation

I’m pretty sure will have other conservative republican governors running who have already produced minor economic miracles in their states and that Tea Partiers would gladly vote for

Hopefully, Jimrob won’t put up with it this time around. He let the tootyfruityrudybots practically take over until he realized how far they had co-opted FR. That’s when he opened up the bugzapper thread. I posted this during that thread, and it looks like I might need to update it for PDSers.

I’m a big tent republican.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1821435/posts?page=6245#6245
Here’s an analogy to work with. Take a small box and fill it with some rocks. Then add some rice, filling it to the top. Now take all the same stuff, but in a different order. Put in the rice first, then add the rocks. What you’ll find is that if you put in the big stuff first, the small stuff will fit around it. But if you put in the small stuff first, the big stuff won’t have room. The republican tent is the box. The Big issues are the socon issues, to be put in first. The little issues are things that can be accommodated around the bigger stuff. A candidate who tries to focus on the smaller issues first and leave out the bigger issues has no way of getting all of us into the tent. He splits the party. The candidate who gets the big stuff right and as much of the little stuff that will fit, he can fit more into the tent. We’re often amazed at how much rice can keep fitting in. Rudy Giuliani flunks some of the big issues, and on some of the little issues it looks to me like anyone else’s rice would do just as well. All that remains for us to agree on is which are the bedrock principles and which are not. Why would there be so much invective aimed at rudy from the right? Because there are some bedrock principles that he is leaving out. Bad move. I see rudybot postings all the time saying that they would vote for Hunter, and I see socon postings that say they would not vote for rudy. That’s a BIG indicator of a few bedrock principles that are being left outside the tent in order to let in some rice.

Have you been napping for two years?

but she has been described as a “polarizing figure;

Oh, I see you weren't napping but eating propaganda pablum and now spitting it up.

I share your hope. I don’t think he will wait any longer than he thinks he should. He has already announced that “this is Palin country”. Some of these PDS folks better start to come around or pack up.

Palin 2012, period.

Candidates who are drafted are not driven enough to win. I supported Fred Thompson last time and learned this lesson the hard way. The day is long gone when we will elect a candidate who is diffident about actually winning. I also helped draft Goldwater, he never fought to win either. I’ve learned my lesson, we need to find a conservative of Caesarian ambition.

Americans aren't looking to be charmed, that's a liberal mindset.

The bugswatter thread was in April the year before the election, we will be there in just over four months. I do not think it will take JimRob that long this time.

Well enough said. If Palin doesn’t declare, then you have made your point. If she does, I look forward to your joining the camp.

I supported Hunter, who didn’t need to be drafted. I kept saying that his one weakness, lack of name recognition, would be overcome simply by the process of whittling down candidates. That didn’t necessarily come true for him, but it did come true for Sarah.

So now that there’s a conservative with name recognition, what will the excuse be?

Under the currant leadership we are about to crash and burn.

Anyone who understands America and how we got to this place we are at knows that conservativism is the solution to our problems.

We need a strong conservative, I'll support any conservative that runs.

From your keyboard to JimRob’s ears.

This is Palin country, indeed.
