I don’t believe this poll for a second! Palin yes. Romney? NO...more like Jim DeMint second!

Oh, there better not be. Although, despite any polls I think the GOP is going to try to shove Romney down our throats. It’s gonna be ugly.

Largely a name recognition poll 2 years out.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
I would say that from these percentages, the GOP field is wide open. I suspect that there are many, such as myself, that are still looking for someone other than the ones mentioned. We need someone with gravitas.

Roughly 1 in 5 Republicans are RINO type Republicans, so support for Romney seems about right. What is more curious is that Huck is a RINO as well, but most of his supporters do not see themselves as RINO's.
It is easy to understand why a RINO would support Romney over Palin. What is not explainable is why a conservative would support Huck over Palin. I'd suspect a good many of them might be the social justice/economic populist types who would be Democrats if the Democrats had not slid off the left end of the political spectrum.
But too many of them consider themselves good conservatives who may be more impressed with Huck's social conservative credentials than they are with Sarah's. Don't ask me to explain why. I can't. Can anybody?

Romney will never get the votes. Polls only show him leading because Sarah has yet to announce. Once she does it's a fait accompli. That she's so close (according to Dem-loving Palin-hating Gallup, of all things!) is indicative of what will happen once everyone knows she's in it for '12.
Palin~Bachman 2012. Pa-Bach's a bitch!
Dembicile cranial rupture will become such a daily occurrence that schoolkids will be taught how to mop up brain-matter safely, so as not to inadvertently contract PDS or other crippling forms of Dembicile Dementia.

No, we definitely do not need any “gravitas.”
We need someone that understands that everything that government has done for the last 100 years has to be undone post haste, and is willing and motivated to do it.
That is why Palin is the only qualified candidate on the horizon.

DeMint has done his best to communicate that he has no interest in the presidency, and plans to try for senate majority leader.
That is good, because that is where he would be most valuable. He knows who and what is wrong in the senate, and how to fix it.

Good analysis...in the few conversations I've had, I get the impression, and I hate it, that it's a man / woman thing...given the choice, some are just more comfortable with Huckabee because of his gender. However, if the choice is between Romney and Palin, the Huckabee voters will go to Palin.
Gingrich's numbers are still surprising, however...magritte

Most of Huck’s supporters do not know what Huck stands for, and are of the erroneous belief that he is a committed Christian.
