I think the Republican nominee and the next president will be largely determined by whether or not the Clintons run against the Kenyan.

Unless BO is suddenly removed as a factor by some means which CANNOT be attributed to the Clintons, I don’t see them running. Even if HRC could win the primary, should would lose the general when many blacks stayed home.
Your analysis is interesting with regard to Democrats corrupting the GOP primary. I don’t like your picture, but it is plausible.

“Before commenters go off calling me a typical Democrat, let me remind you that I voted for John McCain”
That was one of the lies that I referred to in my post below.

Well now that tells FR all we need to know about you.

Outstanding reply!

“Why cant I have MY fantasies????”
You can... but liberal fantasise are NOT allowed on FR... this is a CONSERVATIVE SITE.

It is a shame, and I agree with you about Texas.
Palin, a conservative (despite the FR "purity" crowd insisting otherwise), backs a conservative in a primary over someone who was considered the most liberal GOP senator up for re-election in 2010, and this is called "undermining"?
No, it was not undermining. It was a contested primary, and Palin chose a side (and the right side at that, win or lose). Murkowski lost because she does not represent Alaskan values, nor did her attitude of entitlement endear her to the primary voters. Miller won because he was the right person, with the right message, and got just enough help (exposure, fundraising) via the Palins and the TPX to get that message out.
I call them the 10/10 crowd. Unless someone agrees with them one every issue everytime people are cast away as RINOS etc etc.
Its like dealing w children.
You can have whatever fantasies you want.
In reality, Rice isn't going to run -- she's made it pretty clear she has no interest in running for political office -- nor would she be able to win with a pro-choice position.
Anyone who has any interest in running in 2012 needs to be working toward that goal by now, and likely before now. Building networks, getting exposure, putting fundraising machines into place, etc. It's a sad fact, but we live in the world of the perpetual campaign.
Now, not everyone who is putting those feelers out is going to eventually run, but someone who isn't doing so certainly isn't going to run, or won't be serious about running even if they do.
In addition to the higher-profile Palin, Romney, and Huckabee, there are quite a few others who have built profiles and networks enough to be running, including (but not limited to) Pwaltney, Pence, DeMint, Daniels, Barbour, and others.
But Rice? No. No sign she has any interest or organization.
It was a large contribution to McCain’s “victory” last time around. The Pro Kenyans figured they had it sewed up well before it was apparent to the rest of us and the later Republican primaries were heavy with Democrats. Their ops already had McC figured out as one who would not do anything to make Soetoro look bad and didn’t really want the job anyway.
Clinton ve Palin is no contest. Palin wins. Same with Palin vs Soetoro. Romney is another case. Democrat wins and if Romney should pull it out the loss is not so bad for them.
“...a strong, broad coalition, the kind that can lead to a governing coalition.”
tho Oligarchy gets antsy...as the peons and peasants get uppity...
