Ron Paul has some surprising news for the Tea Party:
Youre being taken for a ride.
At least this is what many libertarians like Ron Paul believe when they see someone like Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin trying to lead the Tea Party at the restoring honor rally this weekend. In fact, Ron Paul believes, if youre looking for real freedom, you should really go back to the core of the constitution and the bill of rights, which Beck and Palin do not fully endorse when you really look at their beliefs. Whether it be Palins support for starting more wars or Becks beliefs on paying the private Federal Reserve MORE interest on our money by means of a VAT tax.
Ron Paul believes in neither of the above.
Here was Ron Pauls message to the Tea Party via The New York Times just the other day:
As many frustrated Americans who have joined the Tea Party realize, we cannot stand against big government at home while supporting it abroad. We cannot talk about fiscal responsibility while spending trillions on occupying and bullying the rest of the world. We cannot talk about the budget deficit and spiraling domestic spending without looking at the costs of maintaining an American empire of more than 700 military bases in more than 120 foreign countries. We cannot pat ourselves on the back for cutting a few thousand dollars from a nature preserve or an inner-city swimming pool at home while turning a blind eye to a Pentagon budget that nearly equals those of the rest of the world combined.
While the Tea Party will be out supporting Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin this weekend, you wonder how many of them will be in full support of more wars and paying more interest to a group of untouchable and unauditable private bankers otherwise known as the FED? This is precisely what Ron Paul is asking the American public to consider when looking at the Tea Party leaders and see if they really stand for what they believe in.
Ron Paul believes the Tea Party is not about left or right like a lot of political pundits make it out to be. Its about the constitution, and limited government.
Obviously, Ron Numbnuts doesn't realize that we're at war whether we admit it or not.
I'm not sure that we don't need to raise the military budget rather than lowering it.
Today’s rally was a completely non political rally. I don’t think I heard a word about taxes, spending, democrats or republicans. I did hear a lot about our need to restore our God to his rightfull place in our country and I did hear plenty about standing behind the men who have fought, are fighting, and will fight for our country.
There is no large conservative support for Ron. There are young people who support him, the same way Nader was supported by young people in 2000, and also the Alex Jones type of anti-NWO people support him. Liberals cover him when he’s saying something bad about our foreign policy to make the right look bad. Ron agrees with the liberals on a lot of things.

2%, 10-yr max, and only via constitutional amendment.
Liberals and Libertarians believe in opposite types of government (one for big and one for small) but they both believe in freedom (do anything with no moral bounds) while conservatives believe in liberty (freedom bound by morality based on wisdom). So under liberalism you will be arrested for having drugs, but they will go home and smoke dope. Libertarians believe in legalizing drugs and they will go home and smoke dope. In the end you will end up with a population hobbled by dope. I do not want to know what they do with alcohol.
Ron also lied during the primaries that he was very anti-illegal immigration. He saw Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo as the other third tier candidates, and wanted to get their votes. I haven’t heard him say anything about stopping illegal immigration since then, and he opposes the Az Law.
At least the Patriots on the mall today have not been living off tax-payers for 35 years...while accomplishing NOTHING in Congress.
Move over RP, retire and make room for someone who can meet some goals.
Screw this jerk.
“...you should really go back to the core of the constitution and the bill of rights...”
Which was the natural political spawn of the Christian enlightenment.
And say what you will about Perot, he did care for our military, and for our country.
Can’t say the same about Ron Paul.
Ron Paul is exactly correct. “The fact is that the average man’s love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary, exactly like his love of sense, justice and truth. He is not actually happy when free; he is uncomfortable, a bit alarmed, and intolerably lonely. Liberty is not a thing for the great masses of men. It is the exclusive possession of a small and disreputable minority, like knowledge, courage and honor. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies.” H.L.Mencken
Baltimore Evening Sun (12 February 1923)
This nitwit is insane.
Cut and run is against anything that is pro-America. Now give him a mooseslime terrorist gathering and he would be all for it.
Huh? What? Since when?
;-/
I don’t believe Beck has even once linked today’s event in D.C. to the Tea Party, which, in any case does not possess an organic identity (i.e., it is not a structured organization).
Ron Paul, the white Colin Ferguson.
Since when do jourbalists let facts get in their way?
He is exactly like the left on foreign policy.
