Former Republican Rep. Tom Campbell is feeling good about the latest SurveyUSA poll, which shows him opening up an 11-point lead over former businesswoman Carly Fiorina in California's GOP Senate race.

okay--i'll be very literal... no way does she take a significant amount to make a difference of Boxer's women supporters... this is California... personally, i line up more with DeVore... do i think he'll beat Boxer? no... do i think Fiorina will beat Boxer? no... do i think Campbell will beat Boxer? maybe... i think he is more likely to take some of the women vote than Carly... other than here on FR, i don't really hear anyone talking positive about her out here in California... in any case, in the primary, i will vote for DeVore... in the general, i will vote for the Republican... btw--Campbell was my Congressman back in the day when i lived in the South Bay... i know he is no conservative...
Well, it’s unlikely that the candidate with 24% of the vote is going to drop out to help the candidate with 14% of the vote.
haha! that's true... as much as i disliked McCain--could not stand him... of all the candidates running for the Republican nomination, he was the one i absolutely wanted to not win... yet, i voted for him...

Officials from the John McCains presidential campaign announced their merger with the Republican National Committee to coordinate fundraising, messaging and organization activities Friday.
Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina was named Chair of Victory 2008, an RNC coordinated group to raise money and conduct get out the vote activities. Fiorina also said she would be a point person for the McCain campaign on economic and business issues, as well as act as a public advocate for the Republican Party.
.....
Down with the McCains, get new blood in government.
The last ACU rating I could find for Campbell is from 1999. It was 53 lifetime. That's horrible, and it's BARELY any better than Olympia Snowe.
Yes, if Campbell is elected, he will presumably vote for Republicans in leadership positions. BUT, on all the big votes - abortion, DOMA, Gun Regulations, WOT, etc. etc., he's going to vote with the Dems. As I said, this will give the imprimatur to the Dems to say "Hey, we've drafted a bipartisan bill".
When my wife was still here, she had several rounds of chemo. But it looks, from what I can see of the hair, that Carly has had recent treatments. She will have to be checked and re-checked to see if it is really gone. Do you want to elect somebody that may only be able to serve a few months? And no, I’m not wishing her any bad luck. I’ve been through the “Big C” myself. I wouldn’t wish it on anybody.
Well, I don’t follow the gossip columnists so how was I to know? I know she wants to curtail my freedom of speech. I guess she is healthy enough now to hit the ground running on that.
Yeah, not good but much better than Boxer's ACU lifetime rating of 3. I think Campbell would be with us on WOT issues. Even the worst RINOs for the most part were. And I think most abortion action is now in the courts with PBAs not likely to be revisited in the Senate, so I'm not too worried about that. I would have concerns on issues like cap and tax however.
I’m not too worried. Most breast cancer is survivable and hers was apparently caught early enough and had not spread. In the end, there are no guarantees for anyone.
Bit much that...the lady lost her hair due to chemo.
Carly(I voted for DeVore, absentee ballot)has recently suffered from cancer and the chemo made her bald. Try to keep from making idiotic attacks on someone’s appearance.
You know, if I had known, I would have understood, but I live in this nuthouse called CA and I am accustomed to strange people running for office. In fact, it is Halloween all year round near my house in Hollywood. CA is not a normal place. Carly can have all the chemo she needs and best of luck to her. I just do not want her in office.
Can’t fault you for not waning her in office, I don’t either. I also live in CA and have mailed my absentee ballot in for DeVore.
