No Need to Compromise-a message from Chuck Devore.

Last night I finished strong in a one hour debate with Tom Campbell and Carly Fiorina (to be broadcast Sunday morning — we’ll send you the media analysis when it comes in).

But I wanted to take a moment to type out some of my thoughts on the day’s news and provide you with an update on my campaign.

If you didn’t hear, Sarah Palin posted a Facebook

I agree with Devore, there is no way that Fiorina is a Conservative of the Reagan mold, more of the John McCain/Lindsay Graham/Susan Collins/Olympia Snowe mold. Palin is getting it wrong on her endorsements of McCain and Fiorina, and that is significant. She is rapidly losing my confidence, as if she cares and FWIW.

Well, to be fair, we really don’t know what Sarah thinks about a wide variety of important topics.

It seems many “imprint” their hopes on her, much like 0bama voters did to 0bama.

A true conservative would not endorse liberals. She would just stay silent or encourage conservative voters to Get Out The Vote as a whole.

Classy response from DeVore. I’ve sent money to DeVore. I understand Sarah’s endorsement. (She’s probably right). Fight the good fight.

I live in CA. I strongly support Chuck DeVore for the US Senate. Over the last six weeks Meg Whitman, Steve Poizner, Carly Fiorina, and Tom Campbell have pounded the airwaves with TV commercials. But I have seen nothing from DeVore. What’s up with that? His campaign is virtually invisible. In the polls he is running far behind Campbell and Fiorina.

I liked that response. May the best person win and if DeVore is the nominee, I hope he kicks Boxer’s ass to the curb. That is what this is all about, getting rid of Boxer..she has done enough damage to my state..it will take years to fix it

Yeah I agree..the issue is, no one knows who the heck Chuck DeVore is. I live in CA too, not ONE Chuck DeVore ad, nothing..I haven’t seen any Fiorina ads either but with her at least I know who she is, she has been on many news programs, but with DeVore, he doesn’t have enough publicity. If he wants to win, he has to get out there and promote himself..A person cant win if no one knows who he is

I wonder what would happen if some of the 1.5 million people who have linked her on Facebook did as I did and removed the connection.

I can’t go so far as to say Fiorina is a liberal, but I strongly agree with DeVore’s commentary.

Chuck is the right choice but he’s running the stealth campaign and is so far back in the PRIMARY polls that he cannot win at this point. Campbell is Boxer-lite. Fiorina is the only one with a snowball’s chance of beating boxer and Campabell. I’m convinced Sarah did what she did to help defeat Boxer, and if Chuck truly wanted Boxer out of there he’d withdraw and quit being nothing more than a spoiler.

That may be turn out to be a correct view, but what facts is it based on? Or is it just based on your gut feelings?

California’s GOP voters have continually nominated Senate candidates who are soaking wet, believing, “Well, we just have to nominate a Campbell, a Matt Fong, in order to win in THIS state.” They end up getting trounced.

Now, perhaps even a true conservative like DeVore will lose, too, but let’s find out. (And even if he loses, I’d rather lose with a conservative than lose with a wet.)

I agree with you 100%!

I’m voting for De Vore in the primaries, but will back the winner in the general, whoever it may be!

"What’s up with that?"

He's broke.

The CA media market costs $10's of millions just to get to the table.

Right or wrong, that's the way it is. If you don't have big money, you can't play.

Unless DeVore can raise $50mil between now and Jun 5th, 90% of Calif residents will not have heard his name.

Therefore, the Palin endorsement of Fiorina...

Oh, and it'll take ANOTHER $100mil to win the race against Boxer.

What are you talking about? The primary is coming up - how could Devore be a spoiler for that? Either he wins or he doesn't. It's not as if he plans to run even if Fiorina is the Republican nominee. This spoiler talk is nonsense at this point.

Chuck is a spoiler because he’s polling under 10% in the primary; Campbell is leading Fiorina in several polls by a couple points (27-24, approx.) and Fiorina is ahead of Campbell in 1 poll. Devore cannot win with 8% of the vote, no campaign ads, no paid staffers, and no money. I might as well run. If even a small percentage of his measly 8% goes to Fiorina, we can avoid a potential Campbell win and Boxer-lite in the Senate seat for 6 years.

This is getting tiresome.

DeVore had EVERY chance in the world to present himself as the alternative to Campbell, and has failed to gain any traction. His candidacy can ONLY serve ONE purpose right now, and that is to GUARANTEE that a RINO wins the nomination over an acceptable, though not perfect, Conservative candidate.

The fight right now is between an OPENLY Liberal Republican candidate and an acceptably Conservative candidate (Campbell vs. Fiorina). Had DeVore shown ANY life, I suspect Palin would have endorsed him as the alternative to Campbell, but he has not shown any such life. It’s over, we need to unite to STOP THE OPENLY LIBERAL CANDIDATE.

Palin is right to use her weight to stop RINO Campbell. In this case, that required waiting to see which Conservative alternative had the best chance to beat Campbell. When it proved to be Fiorina, she jumped into the fold on her behalf.

DeVore CANNOT WIN THIS NOMINATION anymore than what’s-his-face can win over Rand Paul and Trey Grayson in Kentucky. Stop bitching about Palin endorsing Conservative candidates who can WIN and defeat RINOs instead of endorsing somewhat more Conservative candidates who poll at Ralph Nader-like numbers. The end result will be a candidate better than the RINO running, and it is NOT preferable to GO DOWN WITH THE SHIP AND NOMINATE A LIBERAL by bleeding super-Conservative votes off from Conservative votes.

Fiorina is ACCEPTABLY Conservative and can win. DeVore can only serve to SINGLE_HANDEDLY hand Campbell the nomination and guarantee, and be PERSONALLY responsible for, another RINO in a General Election race.

Stop bitching that Palin isn’t endorsing your one-percenter and being as indifferent as you as the whether a 5% Conservative or an 85% Conservative wins the nod. Yes, your one-percenter might be 90% Conservative, and that’s better than 85% Conservative; but your one-percenter can’t win, and giving the 5% Conservative the nod in the name of “principle” is cutting-off your nose to spite your face.

This is NOT DeVore vs. two Liberals, it is an acceptably Conservative candidate and more Conservative candidate vs. a Liberal. VOTE AGAINST THE LIBERAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“It seems many “imprint” their hopes on her, much like 0bama voters did to 0bama.”

No we don’t imprint our hopes on her. We support her because she has a proven record of governing as a Conservative unlike Mittens and Huck. My suggestion is you go kac and review her record “ConservativeMInd.”

The NRA endorsed Fiorina too, I don’t see you attacking them.

"Fiorina is ACCEPTABLY Conservative..."

To paraphrase William F Buckley:

If Fiorina is your definition of "Acceptably Conservative," might I suggest you are using the English language so slovenly as to render yourself unintelligible to an educated person.
