Here's the official site for returns...anyone have a better one?
One thing is clear, IN is another state badly in need of primary run-offs.
Turnout was very light. I voted in the morning and wasn’t even late for work.
Sodrel is old news. We need someone new to face Baron Hill. Also did Souder win his primary? Souder seemed to indicate he’ll be retiring in 2012.
Souder won, but with less than a majority.
If his main challenger was the only one in the race he would have been bounced.
Conservative unity is important. And hard to come by.
That’s why I like Utah’s convention system.
+1 glad to see I voted for the best man for the job, not Mike Sodrel. With him out of the way lets dethrone the Zero suckup Barron.
Coats was a consrvative when he was my congressman; he was a conservative when he was my senator, and he will be a conservative when he returns to the Senate. I didn't vote for him yesterday, but a lot of fellow Republicans did because there were turned off by the "anybody who doesn't toe my line is corrupt" nonsense.
I don’t know where you are in the state, but my wife was the inspector at our precinct and she said the turn out seemed higher than other primaries.
(And that woman takes her job seriously, she made me walk my ass back into the parking lot and get my wallet and ID before she let me past the front door)
