Several current or former Republican officeholders are considering a run against the incumbent congressman, including Rick Berg, a Fargo state legislator who officially added his name on Thursday to the list of possible challengers.
Washington needs some fresh leadership, said Berg, who has served as the Republican majority leader in the state House. They need a fresh perspective.

In this race, I still think that Kevin Cramer is the one to watch first. He ran against Pomeroy in 1996.
Kevin is a veteran too, isn’t he?
I don’t know if he’s a military veteran.
North Dakotans did not like electing people from Fargo to statewide office when I lived there. The only one I can recall who got a pass was Quentin Burdick due to his famous father’s roots who took away the Fargo curse.
