As if his reputation wasn't sullied enough, former disgrace President Jimmy "(pea)Nuts" Carter, decided to weigh in on Rep. Joe Wilson's now infamous outburst.
Taking a play from the Al Sharpton Handbook, Carter states that racism was the cause of the outburst. Carter said the following to ABC News:
"I live in the South, and I've seen the South come a long way, and I've seen the rest of the country that shares the South's attitude toward minority groups at that time, particularly African-Americans." "That racism inclination still exists, and I think it's bubbled up to the surface because of belief among many white people -- not just in the South but around the country -- that African-Americans are not qualified to lead this great country. It's an abominable circumstance, and it grieves me and concerns me very deeply."
Let's get one thing straight Jimmy, Rep. Wilson's remarks were not the result of racism. It was based on the fact that Joe Wilson, like many Americans, was tired of hearing Obama's lies. End of story. By bringing up the race issue, Carter is hoping to detract from the main point: Obama is misleading the American people with respects to this health care plan. Don't let this man fool you---it's still the same guy who had to have Reagan step in to clean up after his mess.

The Buffoon from Plains ought to know all about racism, because he wasn’t at all adverse to appealing to the racist segregationist voters in his second run for Governor in Georgia. He said all the things that segregationists wanted to hear, and unlike his abortive run for the Governor’s mansion in ‘66, he managed to win his one and only term as Governor in ‘70 with the support of racist/segregationists.
Carter is a chameleon, he puts on the devout Christian coat for Christians, then proceeds to make common cause with the most virulent and poisonous anti-Semites on the planet (just one example).
It was Carter’s limited experience and lack of leadership that made his 4 abysmal years in the White House a nightmare for America, and when one considers that he actually had MORE experience when he took the Oath of Office in 1977 than does the Dear Comrade, it ought to be obvious what kind of national trainwreck we’re heading for.
If Joe Wilson were really a racist, there would be a reasonable number of statements and/or actions in his past that were evidence of this.
To hold Barack Obama to the same standards to which he would hold his own family members is hardly evidence of racism. In fact, it is the opposite.

Sorry Jimmy but I disagree. “Race” relations are actually much better in the south. It’s the north that seems to have most of the racists, both of black and white colors. Quite frankly I’m tired of this old devisive tactic. We are all members of the same race, the human race. This is a point that we really need to start driving home to the lefties. We need to start asking them why they are the ones so obsessed with “race” and let them know that it is the content of a persons character that concerns us.
