Mitt Romney, the GOP's Bridge to Oblivion
Gregg Jackson ^ | July 20, 2009 | Gregg Jackson & John Haskins

Posted on 07/20/2009 8:55:50 PM PDT by EddiesDad

Almost no one in politics or the media will admit it in public, but the GOP lost the Presidency in 2008 by alienating the moral conservative base that the elites loathe. Many stayed home or voted third party, rejecting a nominee who was in fundamental aspects a liberal Democrat.

That is why Barry Sotero — a radical socialist with Islamic roots posing as a Christian, groomed for years by Marxist revolutionaries, who hides essential documents of his birth, education and career, who campaigned with illegal funding from overseas interests, who as far as 300 million Americans can honestly tell, was born in a foreign country and (under the plain language of the Supreme Law of the United States, the Constitution) cannot legally be our President, who lacks even the executive experience of a night manager at a self-serve gas station — nevertheless sleeps in the White House. That’s why. Do the homework. Look at the demographics.

The same circular-firing conservative crowd was around in the late 70s against Reagan
__________________________________________

In this you are correct...

Same crowd as in same family...

1964, 1968, 1972, the Romney family were attacking Ronald Reagan...

George Romney was a liberal who hated Ronald Reagan...

Now, The Romney of today, namely Williard Mitt Romney, and his crowd of today, the MittBots< still hate Ronald Reagan and attack his comnservatives and knife them in the back...

You obviously didn’t watch the Romney-McCain debates in the latter stages of the primary
_____________________________________________

watching Romney in the debates in the early stages of the primary was quite enough...

That’s when he first bragged that he had been an abortion pusher for 40 years..

and his Momma too...

He bragged on her too...

about when she ran for US Senate in 1970 on an abortion platform...

What a sick twisted evil basketcase Romney is...

That monster, Romney makes me sick to my stomach...

“Listen kid...”

“BTW does Mommy know you are using her computer ???”

Kid? Funny you should say that. You’ve shown yourself to be no better at discourse than the Kos Kidz. Do you see that? You insult because I have the temerity, in your view, to not despise Romney.

Actually, I bet my taxes are paying for your Bush Medicare Part D prescriptions. One of the many insults to true conservatives by Bush 43.

If you want to know what the circular firing-squad cons said about Reagan back in the day, here’s a sampling:

http://www.thepinkflamingoblog.com/how-conservative-leaders-betrayed-ronald-reagan/

I see the resemblance between their angst and yours.

Romney is a sick twisted monster, and no decent human being would back him for President of the United States...

Has he ever ran for dog catcher...

Oh, that’s right...

He has a history of cruelty to animals...

Wont get to dog vote then...

Right. I’m in Oklahoma, by the way. Reddest state in the union. Also, we weren’t stupid enough to elect someone like Al Gore to public office.

You didn’t comprehend what I wrote.

I stated I’d vote Palin and Jindal ahead of Romney, but that Romney is worthy of supporting as the nominee. He’d be 1000% improvement over the Kenyan, and I’d believe he’d lead our economy out of Obamageddon, just like Palin and Jindal would.

I just don’t have RDS, and that is why you hurl the insults. You’d fit right in as a Kos Kid.

Well, you and I saw different shows then.
But lets say you are correct that at this one time MR appeared to be conservative, he has a political history and IT IS NOT conservative.
A candidate can not wipe away years and years of political history on on tv show.
RM is a liberal. RM's political history is liberal. RM's political being is liberal.

Tell me how MR would be different than barry?
Would that be government health care?
Would that be abortion?
Would it be the homosexual issue?

Would that be...what?
What would it be?

FRed Thompson on Romneycare...

Fred Thompson: Romneycare At A Glance

Fred Thompson Release:

- This is Romney’s health care plan of which he claims authorship and credit. - The plan guarantees Planned Parenthood a seat at the decision-making table. - The plan provides taxpayer-funded abortions for a copay of $50. - The plan penalizes individuals not buying health insurance coverage and small businesses not offering health insurance to their employees.

Romney Is Quick To Take Credit For Massachusetts’ Health Care Plan

- “I love it. It’s a fabulous program.” (Mitt Romney, GOP Primary Debate, Reagan Library, Simi Valley, CA, MSNBC, 5/3/2007) -

“But I helped write it and I knew it well...” (Mitt Romney, GOP Primary Debate, Reagan Library, Simi Valley, CA, MSNBC, 5/3/2007)

KEY ASPECTS OF ROMNEY’S MASSACHUSETTS HEALTH CARE PLAN...

(1) Guarantees Planned Parenthood A Seat At The Table. Romney’s legislation created an advisory board and guarantees, by law, that Planned Parenthood has a seat at the table. Romney’s plan established a MassHealth payment policy advisory board, and one member of the Board must be from Planned Parenthood. No pro-life organization is represented. (Chapter 58 Section 3 (q) Section 16M (a),

http://www.mass.gov/legis/laws/seslaw06/sl060058.htm )

(2) Provides Taxpayer-Funded Abortions . Abortions are covered in the Commonwealth Care program that Romney created as Governor. Under the program, abortions are available for a copay of $50. (Menu of Health Care Services:

http://www.mass.gov/Qhic/docs/cc_benefits1220_pt234.pdf )

- Romney used his line-item veto authority to strike eight sections of the bill that he found objectionable, including the expansion of dental benefits to Medicaid recipients. Yet, he did not strike Planned Parenthood’s guaranteed Board representation and he did nothing to prohibit taxpayer-funded abortions as part of his plan. (”Romney’s Health Care Vetoes,” Associated Press, 4/12/06)

(3) Punitive Toward Small Businesses. Small Businesses are fined $295-per-employee if they do not provide health insurance coverage to employees. (Steve LeBlanc, “Mass Lawmakers Ok Mandatory Health Bill,” Associated Press, 4/5/06)

(4) Punitive Toward Individuals. Individuals not obtaining health insurance coverage lose their personal state tax exemption in 2007, which will cost them an estimated $219 in higher taxes. In 2008, uncovered individuals are assessed a fine equal to 50-percent of the cost of a standard insurance policy, which could be as much as $2,000. (Michael Tanner, “No Miracle In Massachusetts,” Cato Institute, 6/6/06; Steve LeBlanc, “Timing Of Health Care Law’s Penalties Could Pose Risk For Romney, MA,” Associated Press, 11/9/07; William C. Symonds, “In Massachusetts, Health Care for All?” Business Week, 4/4/06 )

Wow, amazing. Will, did you learn to become that much of an idiot, or were you born that way ? You Slick Willardbot trolls have been sliming Reagan from the start. You have absolutely no sense of shame or intellectual integrity. You, Will, are despicable. But I expect nothing less from liberal trolls like you.

Mitt Romney the “leader”...

Family group: Mitt Romney chose ‘gay’ marriage (Leadership?)

A leader of the Parents’ Rights Coalition in Massachusetts says he believed all along that Gov. Mitt Romney chose to implement “gay” marriages in that state, and now a court has confirmed that it did not have the power to order that change.

John Haskins, associate director of the family-support organization, told WND that three years after the Goodridge decision by the Supreme Judicial Court in Massachusetts, “Americans merely have to note that the judges admit now … that they have no power over the other branches of government, and that the state constitution says that only the legislature can suspend laws.”

[snip]

“...Mitt Romney, no less than anyone, is subverting the Constitution day by day, having ordered public officials to solemnize sodomy marriages though they remain illegal,” Haskins told WND. “On Mitt Romney’s order alone, town clerks and justices of the peace are compelled to violate the Constitution they swore to uphold and the statute – which remains among the Massachusetts General Laws.”

He said the early advice from conservative activists – for Romney to just ignore the court’s conclusion – was the right one.

“Hiding in Wednesday’s ruling like an elephant in a courtroom is still more proof that Romney had a choice. The court has admitted, as it does whenever it really doesn’t want to order the Legislative or Executive branches to obey the Constitution, that it actually can’t.

“If there were no Massachusetts Constitution, no other proof of the high crime of Mitt Romney – this ruling proves that Mitt Romney had a choice and he chose wrong. He imposed homosexual marriage illegally, using the Goodridge decision as a smokescreen. No court forced anything on him, nor did they have any such authority, and that historic admission is implicit in this ruling,” Haskins said.

I don’t think Mitt would pursue an agenda of equal parts fascist corporatism and socialism. I feel very secure that Romney would pursue a pro-growth agenda and cut Fedzilla down to size, since the current path is manifestly unsustainable.

But Palin and Jindal would do the same. All I’m saying is that we can’t afford another term for the Kenyan. Literally. I don’t care who the nominee is.
