Vanity: My response to call from the RNC

Vanity (?) This evening my wife answered the phone and told me it was the Republican Committee - for me. When i picked up I stated that I was not given any money because I thougth McCain was a travesty and that the way the Committee has been treating [Governor] Palin was an abomination.

The nice, polite fellow who called was obviously taken aback and responded with words to the effect of "OK, well thank you for your time".

I was a bit surprised that he did not have a response to my disgust with the party. I only wish I had thought to tell him I will contribute again when the party returns to conservative, Reagan-like principles.

I hope they get the message.

That's the way they respond to me as well. I simply talk over him, and tell him loudly that "until they get back to the Reagan conservatism, I will Never give another penny. That there are many on Free Republic that feel the same way,so don't tell me others are not responding as I have", then he goes more into his spiel, and again I do mine until he gives up.

Then they send me a letter for donations, I just write the same thing all over the poll letter and send it back on their 42cents.

When you get these calls, tell them about FreeRepublic, that way they will know we are all in this together.
