Arizona Republican voters dont see Senator John McCain having much trouble winning the GOP Senate Primary next year, but 50% believe he has lost touch with his partys base. Conservatives are even more critical of the longtime incumbent.
Forty-three percent (43%) of Arizona Republican voters offer a more positive assessment and say McCain has done a good job representing GOP values, according to a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state.
Nationally, 69% of GOP voters believe that Republicans in Congress are out of touch with the partys base. A recent analysis by Scott Rasmussen suggested that the Beltway GOP is on a continuing path to irrelevance."

And the other 50% of Arizona GOP voters are complete idiots.

What did the other 50% say, "the cooks took the strawberries?"
They’re not only idiots..they’re RINidiots.
Look at the national numbers though - the party is in full revolt! That is a good thing. Time to force the party back to the Conservative base with decisive, determined actions.
And the other 50% of Arizona GOP voters are complete idiots.
My thoughts exactly.
The GOP is revolting, alright.
“but 50% believe he has lost touch with his partys base”
Time to pull a Specter?
McCain't isn't just out of touch. McCain't is an erratic, senile, arrogant, and treasonous Rat bastard wholly unfit for public service. . . . . . "Disagreed that McCain will learn anything. Hes so full of himself that he sh*ts little McCains." . . . . . As an added incentive, successfully purging McCain means that his fat cow of a daughter goes away too. [In other words, it's a two-for-one special.] So, unless y'all want to vote Meghan McCain for POTUS in 2020, get rid of her dad. |

Smile...clever...
Not really, the party is unified, we're all in complete agreement about the future of the party...fire the leadership and vote out McCain and everyone like him. I don't know why everyone keeps saying the party is divided and lacks direction, I think we have a pretty good plan, it just doesn't involve the idiots in Washington.
The other 50 percent are confirmed McQueeg groin leeches.
Dear Scott, please have a sit down with Michael Steel, John McCain, Eric Cantor, and the rest of the imbeciles that think continuing on their RINO path is the way to relevance.
I voted more against Obama than for McCain.
McCain lost swing states in the election when he did goofy things like pandering to LaRaza(sp).
I do have a modicum of respect for the man, I’d go fishing with him. But he should pull a Spector as poster Winstons Julia suggests - He is no true Conservative.
Note to Sen McCain: We don’t hate you, But the GOP can only survive at this point by following Conservative principals, If you hinder this political shift, You’re going to lose your next re-election anyway.
McCain couldn’t win 50% of the primary vote in AZ in 2008. He was the only top tier candidate of either party who could not win his/her home state with 50% or more of the vote. McCain is vulnerable in the 2010 primary.
that figure rises to about 95% outside Arizona
McCain can only get 50% approval of the GOP voters and he won our primary! No wonder we lost the election. It was a given. This should have come out during the primary in advertisments.
Try to act surprised when he gets re-elected...
I wish some of you would actually look at his voting record vs the fact he isn’t likeable before you compare him to Arlen Specter... there is no comparison and, in fact, Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Lisa Murkowski, as well as the twins from Maine have a much, much worse voting record....
