Our interview, part of a speaker series organized by the American Jewish University on April 27, included a dinner and post-event cocktail “meet and greet.” Maybe I was naïve, but after chatting with the guests, I assumed the audience would be pretty evenly split politically. But on that stage, in front of about 2,500 people, I felt like the visiting team shooting free throws at a crucial moment in the game. I was booed, hissed, and heckled while Ashcroft and Gonzales were regularly applauded.

One of my fondest memories occurred at the 1996 Republican Convention in San Diego. One of the evenings I was in the audience and Sam Donaldson was sitting in the front row of a very high balcony. He was standing up talking to someone, and bending over...at one point he bent over so much, it appeared he might be jumping...he laughed and moved back at which point the entire Republican auditorium erupted with the chant of "JUMP, JUMP, JUMP, JUMP!!"
Maybe you had to be there, but it was a riot!

Imagine, if you will, a day, when Obama will get booed - what will he do? Will he retreat to a small room in the White House and gently rock back and forth. What kind of person are we dealing with here that has been campaigning straight to ‘yes men’ crowds for 6 years? It’s not healthy. He is in actuality - weak - yet propped up by the socialist monster that is the figure head for.
