Sacramento, CA (AP) -- A California Republican Party committee has voted to reprimand six GOP lawmakers who voted for a compromise budget plan that boosts taxes.
The measure, which was endorsed Saturday during the party's spring meeting in Sacramento, also denies the lawmakers any financial support from the party during the 2010 elections.

Toothless. The state party is broke. Candidates raise their own money anyway.
Why can’t this happen at the national level??
Now THAT’S funny. Don’t forget, these are the same Republicans who just couldn’t get enough of supporting Schwarzenegger for Governor. Hypocrites (at the very least).
Ladies & Gentlemen:
Remember this IS California. If we bear this in mind, then what we are seeing is PROGRESS.
These 6 legislators deserved to be booted from the Party — but I’ll gladly take the censure of the Party, and the denial of reelection funds. This opens up the possibility that more Conservative candidates can challenge in the primaries.
Naturally, as this IS California, I’m not optimistic that change can be made — not with elections, anyway. BUT, crisis — real crisis — such as we’ve seen the mere beginning of since last September, has a way of awakening those who can be awakened. I hope that’s the case with our [few] friends in California.
oh boy, I bet that’ll really hurt ‘em.

NOW we’re on the move. The pubbies finally got the word. This is what we’ve been waiting for. NO MORE RINOS.
Now if only Maine and Pennsylvania would do the same to get rid of Snowe, Collins, and Specter.
Should have added, ***Now if only Maine and Pennsylvania would do the same to get rid of Snowe, Collins, and Specter.*** we could have defeated Obama’s so-called stimulous package.
They also did not give enough support to his reform campaign back in 2005.
Now if only Maine and Pennsylvania would do the same to get rid of Snowe, Collins, and Specter. Are conservative Republicans electable in statewide races in Maine?
