Posted on 02/17/2009 6:11:31 PM PST by Ranjit

What do you guys think about this special election in NY 20th congressional district. It is a conservative district and I feel, we have a good chance for an upset. The candidate name is Jim Tedisco

An upset would be if the Dem that nobody’s ever heard of wins over Tedisco, who is a household name.

I did.

Democrats who can get elected in this district like Gilibrand don’t grow on trees and even she wouldn’t have been elected if the incumbent and his wife hadn’t gotten drunk and beaten each other up.

The district went for Obama this time, but it’s by no means a Democrat district.

Jim Tedisco has been the Assembly Minority Leader since Christ was a teenager. He’s a household name. The Dem is a nobody.

Didn’t realize that district was that big. Also see a lot of depressed areas there. I’m in district 18 which is further downstate and much smaller.

Guys,

Steele is investing lot of resources into this district. Something in their internal polls makes this a real battle. Also, republicans tend to do well in the special elections. Our base turns out int good numbers. Especially with Obama and stimulus package there are lot of enraged republicans.

Like the special Elections for Georgia US Senate, I have a feeling that, we can really do well in this election. Why don’t we try to help the candidate by donating few bucks? After this election, we need to concentrate on virginia governor election and New Jersey governor election. But anyway for those who are interested in contributing, check the web site
