Newt is No More

Posted on 01/05/2009 5:12:52 PM PST by AdaGray

Newt has turned out to be just another infected Washingtonian. When I heard him come out again "Barak the Magic Negro" I knew he was done and I was finished with the Republican Party. Today I switched to the Conservative Party.

So where do I sign up for the Conservative Party in this two party system?

They’re all infected Washingtonians. But if you switch to a third party, you’ve just thrown away your vote, which thereby makes the infected Washingtonians even more powerful.

Nobody ever thought Newt was a conservative leader anyway. He started off well, he’s a smart man, but like Bush, he got into some kind of “reach across the aisles” stuff that simply made the Dems go for blood and eventually get him run out of DC altogether. Newt and Bush have a death wish.

Out of control spending, pro-ILLEGAL alien and advocating socialist policies did it for me and long ago.

you duplicated yourself. You plagiarized yourself. And that's not good.

I guess I don’t see this as being a big deal. In fact, it might be shrewd. There’s no reason to make hay about this issue and Newt has effective quashed any potential controversy here.

In the meantime, the party of finger-pointers is starting to point at each other. Scandals and a ridiculous recount has the nation focused on the Democrats. Why would Newt take a principled stand on a minor issue when it could shift media attention? He is a politician, not a pundit that has the luxury of controversy.

Yeah. Let's not have any controversy with the f'n socialists. Let's have no controversy with a usurper about to assume the Presidency. It might make people aaaaang-ry. Can't we all just get along?

If newt is moot
you must give him da boot...

He really jumped the shark when he did that glow-Bull warming commercial with Pelosi. I always thought that he was smarter than that.

Really?

What is there that you want to fight for, if you don't want to fight for the the Constitution? What has the great Newt fought for in the last ten years, getting along with Pelosi? I used to respect the guy, but not any more. Respect has its limits.

Then again, we vote for Republicans we've just thrown away our votes, which thereby makes the infected Washingtonians even more powerful.

Either way, same difference.

Newt is an excellent historian. However, as a conservative lead he’s pretty much worthless. The best thing he can do is just go away.

This is politics. There are no principled players here, just pragmatists that zig or zag for whatever purposes that are only known to the politician himself.

Meanwhile, constituents are fools to pin hopes and beliefs on any politician. We should choose to support one politician over another with the full realization that every single one is flawed, tainted and unprincipled in some manner. It’s an extremely rare to find anyone that stays pure in the long run.

They aren’t soldiers. They won’t die for their cause.

While I disagree with his stance, I also believe that sticking his neck out for “Barack the Magic Negro” will get nowhere. The real battles will come soon enough and I’ll back whichever Republican that will serve the Constitution no matter what their past positions were.
