One week prior to the general election, former Romney spokesman Kevin Madden took to the airwaves (on CNN) and defamed Sarah Palin, setting off a media storm over an alleged fight between Team McCain and Team Palin. They were the very early opening salvos in the battle for the party. Fox News expanded on off-the-record anti-Palin comments tonight. Was traitor Kevin Madden for those comments?
I found this little nugget over at RedState. Guess who else was on the Romney bandwagon??? None other than Sarah-basher Kathleen Parker.. It’s all starting to make sense now...

In fact, I heard that one of the biggest pushers of anti-Palin stories, including encouraging reporters to pursue the “Trooper-gate” story was Romney spokesman Kevin Madden.
I did not blog on it at the time because I perceived it to be people trying to finish off Romney. It likewise seemed clear to me that if this was going on, it was people loyal to Romney who were still hoping for his come back and not Romney himself.
These days it is hard to miss Kathleen Parker’s savage attacks on Sarah Palin. She, along with several others listed here attacking Sarah Palin were also some of the first pundits in bed with the Romney campaign in 2007/8.
Yes, old age moment, that is her. She was quite catty a couple of times that I caught. I have stopped watching most all of FNC now.
I have turned off Fox News ever since Shepherd Smith went ballistic with Joe the Plumber. Another koolaid drinker joins the obamamedia.
What did Shep Smith do to Joe the Plumber?
If no one from the McCain campaign steps up to own these smears of Gov Palin, then I would find a full list of campaign staffers, and make sure I never help or vote for a candidate that hires one of these aides. I believe RedState is starting a “leper” list if individuals can be identified. If these anonymous “aides” think they can hide in the chummy group, then the group needs to be exposed. This is so maddening!
And I wonder how the guy who was offended by the guv in a bathrobe voted on Prop 8...
MFP=Men for Palin. We are a group of Republicans who formed a coalition to support her bid for Veep and to support a blog (www.menforpalin.com). We plan to continue into the “Obama Era”, and would like to have partners and associates in all 50 states, the territories and the District of Columbia. Join today!
Count me in.
The future of the GOP needs to be younger i.e. Palin, and the Gov. of LA. Bobby Jindal. The party needs to run back to conservatism. I hope they don’t think the future is being moderate to liberal, or we’ll continue to lose.
Palin and Jindal are the future. Romney got blocked by Huckabee and McCain teaming up against him. I don’t think Romney can come back in four years while being out of elected office the entire time.
I love the irony of it. Now we have rumors being spread about who spread rumors.
First you grab him by the onions, then you pull him in close......

hey just posting links - got a problem with it go to the source. did you post this to everyone that mentioned romney’s ex campaign workers?
Not just Kathleen Parker, but Peggy Noon, David Frum, Charles Krauthammer (have you read his latest anti-Palin article)... and more.
Kathleen Parker is a journalist and never worked for Romney. Romney doesn't need to go play thought police to every pundit.
Michell Malkin was on Fox this morning naming McCain aides. The "Romney rumors" turned out Nicolle Wallace a former Bush aide who works for CBS and others not Romney. But the MSM is playing it for all its worth. They can kill two birds with one stone with the lies about Romney. It serves to keep the Palin isn;t qualified lie in hte news and it serves to keep the Romney stabbed her in the back lie in the news. What is unfortunate is how many FReepers are feeding in to the Orwellian liberal lies.
We need both Palin and Romney (and many others) for the future of conservatism and the GOP. The reddest of the red states voted for Romney in the primaries and Palin in Nov. (Alsaka, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, Utah, etc.) The MSM is trying to take them both out now.
I just tell libs that's impossible because the real Dick Cheney died 7 years ago and what they're looking at is really a 1998 model Haliburton clone.
