Seemed to be a lot of omissions. Jackie was one. Toby Keith another. The one I was shocked to see missing from the list was David Mamet.
I'm sure that passing over a Pulitzer Prize winning playwright amidst actors, singers and professional athletes was just an oversight by the editors at CBS.

Mamet is a recent switchover, much like Robert Downey Jr.

Toby Keith is a Democrat. Granted, an old kind of Democrat. We need more of those kind.

Toby Keith was a democrat until recently. He wrote that song for Afganastin (sp), not Iraq. Once the libs became extra rabid this year, he switched and is now independent.

Seemed to be a lot of omissions. Jackie was one. Toby Keith another. Actually, I heard and interview with Toby Keith where he said he is a democrat - and hoped it wouldn't upset too many of his fans...

Toby Keith another.
Nope:
"Barack Obama is getting praise from Nashville, courtesy of one big, patriotic country star.
Toby Keith, perhaps best known to non-country audiences for his post-Sept. 11 song "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue," says he's a Democrat, and was impressed by the senator from Illinois."
This story is a few months old.
