I am seeking sources on the internet that describe the real demographics of conservatives. I am to give a presentation and want it to be a fact based discussion of how we really are (not as the media portrays us - red-neck, gun toting, racists or blue-blood elitist, country club WASP's).
Please direct me to data that I can use to tell them who we are....
University of Otago has a funny name, but is one of the top Universities in the world (known particularly in medical circles). It also has an excellent MBA well-respected in the southern hemisphere and elsewhere.
There was some stuff posted around the last presidential cycle on FR, but I’ve no idea how it could be dug up again. The gist of it was along the line of Democrat voters were those in the extremes of education (those with the most education & those with the least education vote Dem), while those who fall in the middle tend to vote GOP.
You could explore the old red/blue county map & dig into the demographic data about different areas on it. Blue areas tend to be urban, while red areas tend to be suburban & beyond.
Looks like your thread got lost in the hudreds of new ones each day ... 8<)
Yes, use the red county - blue county may of 2000 and 2004: The difference between “urban” plus “border county” + Indian reservation locations id astounding.
How are we (conservatives) viewed compared to the liberals?
Use a series of thrity quotes from HOLLYWOOD/TV personalities: red necks, hate-filled, whites, etc. Pam Anderson, Rosie, the View, etc.
