Hi, sorry for the dumb question.
This will be my first contribution to a political campaign; is there a way I can contribute DIRECTLY to McCain/Palin?
If I have to, I'll give to the RNC, but I'd prefer that none of my money go to a few of these pinhead RINO's the RNC might want to spend on. I also don't quite understand what the whole "public financing" thing is about...
Not now... :(
>>Because the McCain-Palin Campaign is participating in the presidential public funding system, it will not raise private campaign contributions after August 31, 2008. However, federal law allows the Campaign to establish the Compliance Fund to defray legal and accounting compliance costs and preserve the Campaign’s public grant for media, mail, phones, and get-out-the-vote programs.
I assure you that if I’m elected president, the era of reform and problem solving will begin. From my first day in office, I’ll work tirelessly to make America safe, prosperous and proud. And that, my friends, is the kind of change we need.<<

Donate to a 527 if you want to directly help McCain.
I suggest always contributing to the nominee you want to support. Giving money to the RNC, many times, gives money to RINOs, folks I wouldn’t give a penny to. IIRC, the RNC didn’t do a thing for Palin in Alaska - they, and the AK Republican party, snubbed her.
