We watched in horror as you told your base that they were no longer needed and that we could just "stay home". We watched in stunned outrage when you were silent on sexism and propelled the race card.
You called us uneducated, old, blue collar, gun toters, clingers, not urban, souless, clueless, and basically threw us to the dogs. You told us to shut up, get over it and fall in line.
Many of us have donated, worked hard for the DNC for years if not decades. We have been true blue loyal and you not only turned your backs on us, you did everything in your power to humiliate us. We are over it. We will not be back as long as the DNC is being run by a bunch of left wing zealots. We will not stay home and we will not vote Democrat this year. What a bummer, huh?
The same for McNuts by useing the gender card I wish someone would use the smart card.
::::::::
McCain choice WAS SMART — smart for him, smart for America. None of that can be said about ANYTING in the Obama campaign, or the DNC. Everything they do, even the trashing of Hillary, was all about SELF.
You need to read more about Palin.
keep drinking the coolaid....she’s the VP not the President, I wish you guys had gotten this worked up about her before and chose her instead of Mccain.
He made a much bigger mistake, IMO, in not even vetting Hillary for the veep spot. If he had a brain, he would have gone ahead and gone through the motions even if he had no intention of picking her. Now millions of Hillary supporters feel dissed.
Here is my quote of the week from a former Hillary supporter:
For one former Clinton supporter at least, the message hit home, and she said she will be voting for McCain. Sherry Morrison, 46, a medical billing executive who lives in Roanoke called Palin's speech "a wink and a nod to the Hillary supporters. It was, 'Hey, if the Democrats are too stupid to break that glass ceiling, we will do it for them.' "
you mean the VP will defy her President. or you mean Mccain will take advice from her lol. I see a serious lack of judgement in her part. I agree she might be a great conservative she just ruined her self with mccain,
And brings new meaning to “SECRET BALLOT”...the Freedom driver that the Unions want us to give up! I know a lot of great ladies who lost their jobs when the union first organized, then killed the company they worked for a few years ago. My bet is that they’re smiling now!
I spent a lot of time yesterday reading thru Hillary supporter websites and blogs. These people were not foul-mouthed, were 99% supportive of Palin and are donating to McCain/Palin. I have to admit to being surprised by their views, which on many topics, weren't far from most of us on FR. There are gun-toting, hunting women on the left who are happy to see one of their own run for VP. They are also saying that they can't afford to be 1 issue voters (abortion) when the DNC has dissed them so much.
Duh, she wasn't running.
What’s with your tagline
Nice photoshop on an iconic poster.
McCain/Palin should print up a couple of millions of those for distribution.
(I doubt there are any copyrights on the original government poster.)
Unlike DU we welcome you with open arms. Unlike DU we dont have a blind litmus test here at FR. Many of us dont agree with each other but we do care for our country more than we care for any one individual politician. We hope you will join us in sticking it those who put party before country and political dogma before truth. Sincerely Average Proud American.
At the Hillary forum, this is what pisses them off. They are moderate Dems who are fed up with the radical Left's control over their party

That is the day that olmert returned Samir Kuntar and other terrorists for 2 dead bodies....The Israelis are responsible for the government they elect, and it looks as though this trend will continue if Livni comes into power....
So, I am tired of donating time and resources to a country which is self imploding...
I have come to the realization that, unfortunately, Israel will one day get attacked by a dirty bomb....i have no doubt about this....its going to be a disaster and if you think otherwise, your kidding yourself.
Wow...
One of the truly outstanding things about Sarah Palin is that she didn’t got where she is by hitching her wagon to a powerful man. Her accomplishments are her own.
“The leftists on DU have reached a new peak of foul-mouthed, shrieking hatred aimed at Palin and her audacity as being the VP pick for the Repubs”

I’ve been wondering about exactly that, whether the “reproductive rights” crowd could or would switch to McC/P. Thanks for providing that perspective. Will it persist? Can’t predict. Of course we never know what proportions of any crowd who happen to post somewhere are “silent sulkers” or “motivated movers”.
It’s pretty interesting, I’ll bet there is some mathematical formula that relates how quickly/reactionarily a Dem talking point comes out after an event that occurred at a specific time to just how completely wrong it’s likely to be!
