(I'd say John McCain is a Dick Nixon, but Nixon didn't hate Republicans.)

Conservatives should loathe all the GOP candidates.

I do not “simply loathe” McCain.
I loathe him with a white hot intensity.

The only thing I ever wanted to do for a living was fly. I have loved every aspect of aviation for as long as I can remember. For a variety of reasons I was never able to attain my goal, but have kept that love of my youth to this day.
For that reason alone I admire and respect John McCain. He did what I was not able to do, and he did it to the utmost. Few people become fighter pilots and in my mind it makes them something just less than a god. I have the same respect for those who fly anything for a living, or like John Travolta get ratings by the bushel even though they are paying for it with their own money.
That having been said, let me hasten to add that I could NEVER vote for John McCain for president. Regardless of how I feel about him as a man, he is not presidential material. In my mind the two are completely separate issues.

Nothing to argue with there. For just about anyone else that I disagree with, I could vote over the Democrat, but McAmnesty?
I hate that man. Absolutely not one redeeming quality in him. I despise him.

“The right wingers have reason to loathe McCain.”
You know how, when yer a kid and you touch a hot stove? You learn to not do that again. McAmnesty is red hot. We’ve touched that stove. No thanks.
“They know enough not to trust him. This matters because it is the hard core base that does the work at election time.”
I seriously doubt that many of us will work for McAmnesty in ‘08. Hey, maybe Juan can get his “people” to do the work that Americans just won’t do? Of course he’d have to make sure they spoke english.

I have the utmost respect for what McCain did for this country just as you do. I also will not be voting for him unless he has a very conservative VP pick.
I just want to point out one thing to you concerning McCain becoming a fighter pilot. His father and grandfather were both retired admirals and I believe were both living at the time he became a pilot. That being said, do you think that he might have had the skids greased a little bit to get to be a fighter pilot?
Sure, he still had to do it, but he had a lot easier time than you would in trying to become a Navy fighter pilot. Don’t beat yourself up over it. Me, I was just a little old Marine Corps grunt. I had no connections. My dad was in the Army in the Korean conflict. He pounded the roads and carried a rifle also. I guess maybe he helped me out after all... : )

Ain't that the truth! Geraldo recently endorsed him (there were a couple of articles on FR about that a week or so ago). Geraldo could sell McAztlan on his Fox TV show.

Rick Santorum to make “major announcement” on Laura Ingraham radio in a few minutes. Will he endorse Romney?

Ann Coulter said she would vote for Hillary to keep this loathsome shape-shifter from the White House - THAT says a lot about John McLame.

There is nothing to like about McCain:
*He lacks self control and his lies are outrageous. Who can ever believe him?
*He resorts to obscenities because he is unable to express himself in normal ways. How will he be able to handle meetings with diplomats and world leaders?
*He is uncouth, not presidential.
*He is unhealthy and appears of unsound mental state - smiling and talking to himself with a odd look in his eyes. *He lacks good moral character - Keating 5, adultery, etc.
*He is willing to sellout this country as shown by his amnesty votes. No one who loves this country would have done that.
*CFR.
I cannot find anything that would make him suitable for POTUS.
