Flapsblog ^ | Jan 27, 2007

January 29, 2007

A Giuliani fund-raiser will be held Jan. 29 in Pacific Palisades, Calif., at the home of Bill Simon, the 2002 Republican candidate for governor of California, costing $2,300 a person and $4,600 per couple.

January 30, 2007:

Mary Bono’s campaign is sponsoring a golf event to raise funds for Giuliani’s committee on Tuesday, at the Rancho Mirage home and golf course of Edra Blixseth, Porcupine Creek Golf Club. Information: (310) 500-4284 or by e-mail at events@marybono.com

February 1, 2007:

Texas Republican contributors are being solicited to spend $30,000 for dinner with former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston Feb. 1 to finance his “presidential exploratory committee.” The “private” dinner will follow a 6:30 to 8 p.m. cocktail reception, costing $2,100 a person and $4,200 for couples.

The best-known host of Giuliani’s Houston event is billionaire oilman T. Boone Pickens Jr., chairman of the private equity firm BP Capital Management. Also on Giuliani’s Texas fund-raising team are Tom Hicks, whose company owns the Texas Rangers baseball team; oil industry executive Jim Lee; and lawyer Patrick C. Oxford.

No. Too much.

What I have seen here tonight is sickening to me. Repulsive.

Thanks! Very true! I have decided I post too much because I was having trouble finding what I and others read last night. :)

On that note, I am going to bed earlier than last night or should I say early this morning central time.

It is going to get interesting in the months ahead. Hope we have the nastiness out of the way! :) But I wouldn't take it to the bank!

Keep the eye on the prize -- pounding Hillary into the ground with an avalanche of votes on election night Nov '08 so we can stay up all night celebrating the witch is politically dead instead of wringing our hands over the outcome. I think that is something we can all agree on and sooner or later almost all of us will be on the same page like in 2000! Just a little rough getting there but we will get there and Hillary will be going down, down, down! Almost makes me want to burst out singing the Wizard of Oz song about the witch!

Have a great evening!

Yes, and the prize is getting a conservative elected.

Goodnight.

I'd agree if Senator Allen didn't blow up. He was the conservative to beat Shrillary. When he went down any hope of putting up a conservative to defeat that witch went down as well. So the prize now has been reduced to beating her. Ho hum it all you want but I'm looking forward to Nov. '08.

Whichever conservative we decide to nominate and support has a chance of beating Hillary (or Obama), assuming we all band together and try to get him elected. But we ought to try to nominate an actual conservatives first. Pardon me, but I don't think we should all leap to the media's choice for us. They tried to foist McCain on us and when he was soundly rejected by conservatives, they're now running Rudy up the flag pole. Don't fall for it. Rudy is their guy, not ours.

It may be tragic, but the last I heard, the pink triangle flag actually is a symbol for "gay pride" and they seem to be proud of it:

Don't believe it? Google it.

As I told EV, where do you think they got that symbol?

I can tell you for a fact: they got it from the cloth triangles sewn to the camp uniforms of gays who had been sent to camps only because they were gay.

It's not a coincidence, it is a historical fact. Ask the gay group leadership, they'll tell you the origin.

Hey, I just googled it myself. Tragic as it may be, it appears the pink triangle flag was chosen by the homosexual community as a symbol of "gay pride." Take it up with them.

Now it has been removed, and whitewashed. Why?

Guess EV hit abuse, covered up his tracks. I didn't see the photo, and kinda glad I didn't.

The Pink Triangle: The Nazi War Against Homosexuals

That's just the first hit at Google, plenty more here.

The "Gay Pride" community may have taken up the symbol, but historically it signifies that they were marked homosexuals for persecution by the Nazi death squads.  As you said the yellow-clothed "Star Of David" meant those prisoners were Jews.

Each class (if that were the proper name for it) were persecuted separately and differently according to the "mark".

Going to bed early has its pluses. :0)

FWIW, I saw it, but didn't know what it was or what it meant.

I do NOT need to look it up at all. I know the history of the pink triangle and why EV's words and picture were so terribly inappropriate. Hey whatever though. I see what's going though or what happened. I nothing further to say.
