A Giuliani fund-raiser will be held Jan. 29 in Pacific Palisades, Calif., at the home of Bill Simon, the 2002 Republican candidate for governor of California, costing $2,300 a person and $4,600 per couple.
January 30, 2007:
Mary Bonos campaign is sponsoring a golf event to raise funds for Giulianis committee on Tuesday, at the Rancho Mirage home and golf course of Edra Blixseth, Porcupine Creek Golf Club. Information: (310) 500-4284 or by e-mail at events@marybono.com
February 1, 2007:
Texas Republican contributors are being solicited to spend $30,000 for dinner with former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston Feb. 1 to finance his presidential exploratory committee. The private dinner will follow a 6:30 to 8 p.m. cocktail reception, costing $2,100 a person and $4,200 for couples.
The best-known host of Giulianis Houston event is billionaire oilman T. Boone Pickens Jr., chairman of the private equity firm BP Capital Management. Also on Giulianis Texas fund-raising team are Tom Hicks, whose company owns the Texas Rangers baseball team; oil industry executive Jim Lee; and lawyer Patrick C. Oxford.
Why is what I would like to know too! Nothing was done until you called him on it either.
I cannot imagine management protecting the indefensibly reprehensible.
If I'm banned, you won't be.
You and Howlin and Onyx and nopardons and cyborg (and bunnyslippers and everyone else who has seen this) must not let this die.
Don't you forget this.
EV posted a dumb image and you posted NAZI crap. They were both removed. Hope you guys break it off soon before it's too late.
HE posted NAZI crap and you covered it up for him.
He actually suggested political opponents wear a Nazi-issue pink triangle to denote association with gay-rights issues. The Nazi post is his, not mine.
You were both in the wrong.
We were all threatened by this group last night that we were going to be banned for supporting Rudy. We went through that last night on a Rudy thread in the smokey backroom.
You can be sure I will never let this die. I was appalled last night and am still appalled. Didn't take a genius to figure out what he meant and then he tried to say it was sarcasm. That didn't fly with me and still doesn't.
Your picture said it all IMHO!
If a Stormfronter made that kind of historical reference, you would zot him in a second, and rightfully so.
Who threatened you with banning?
I called him on his immutably offensive suggestion. I did nothing wrong (except making him--and the mods--uncomfortable with the import of his own act).
And what excuse do you have for your posts?
And it was pulled twice.
To protect a distinctly and historically-profound Nazi suggestion.
The only abuse report I see is the one you submitted AFTER the posts were pulled.
For pointing out what he did, I need no excuse.
The Nazis issued yellow cloth stars for Jews and pink cloth triangles for gays. EV demanded Guiliani supporters be required to wear pink triangles.
It's a reprehensible suggestion, and I need no excuse for pointing out. PhiKapMom needs no excuse for pointing it out. There is nothing to excuse.
Spiff and company. That's what caused areafiftyone to write her comments to you this morning. Some Freepers thought all of us were going to be banned that support Rudy since the anti-Rudy folks are allowed to spam threads over and over again.
Let me see if I can find the exact comments. The other night we were called gun grabbing abortionists by Tommy Dale which I took exception to.
I don't understand why EV's graphic was allowed to stand for so long. I found it offensive as you could tell from my post back where he said I overreacted.
Will see if I can find the posts that talked about us being banned.
And I'm proud to have done it. I think I have certainly made that clear in this thread.
All of the posts were removed. Yours and his. I hope they stay removed.
Maybe you read too much into what Spiff posted. He has no power to ban anyone.
