January 29, 2007

A Giuliani fund-raiser will be held Jan. 29 in Pacific Palisades, Calif., at the home of Bill Simon, the 2002 Republican candidate for governor of California, costing $2,300 a person and $4,600 per couple.

January 30, 2007:

Mary Bono’s campaign is sponsoring a golf event to raise funds for Giuliani’s committee on Tuesday, at the Rancho Mirage home and golf course of Edra Blixseth, Porcupine Creek Golf Club. Information: (310) 500-4284 or by e-mail at events@marybono.com

February 1, 2007:

Texas Republican contributors are being solicited to spend $30,000 for dinner with former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston Feb. 1 to finance his “presidential exploratory committee.” The “private” dinner will follow a 6:30 to 8 p.m. cocktail reception, costing $2,100 a person and $4,200 for couples.

The best-known host of Giuliani’s Houston event is billionaire oilman T. Boone Pickens Jr., chairman of the private equity firm BP Capital Management. Also on Giuliani’s Texas fund-raising team are Tom Hicks, whose company owns the Texas Rangers baseball team; oil industry executive Jim Lee; and lawyer Patrick C. Oxford.

Well, I've debated enough Democrats for one day. Later.

You need to practice more often. You tend to run off when you're getting beat up in a debate.

Actually, I was responding to your protestations against "bashing" Rudy.

I wasn't protesting. I don't need to. You know where I stand because you already agreed with me.

I am telling you that he thinks that Roe V Wade was NOT what should have been the way to handle abortion. He sees it as a STATES' RIGHTS issue.

Are you saying that he wants to overturn Roe v. Wade!? This is the guy that has received awards from NARAL and was endorsed TWICE by the Liberal Party of New York because of his pro-abortion stance. And you're saying that he wants to overturn Roe v. Wade!!?

Well, this proves that you Rudy-Rootin' FRiberals will say positively ANYTHING to try to fool people into voting for that pro-abortion, pro-amnesty, anti-2nd amendment, pro-gay marriage, big government, serial adulterer, northeast liberal lawyer.

Let's review the score here. You are telling lies to defend a liberal and you've been posting insults and attacks against fine conservative candidates. Are you sure you didn't get Free Republic confused with DU? You might want to check the URL before you post again.

Produce a statement from Giuliani in which he favors the overturning of Roe and returning abortion to the states or stop claiming that is his position.

It is not his position and never has been, but I'm sure you're aware of that already.

Liberals are the enemy, regardless of party.

Exclusive: Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani

 Thursday, March 07, 2002

VAN SUSTEREN: You know, it's interesting. I mean, when you look at, you know, what's gone on since September 11th, I mean, it seems like a lot that's preceded it has now become irrelevant in our lives. But you had such an important job for the people of New York. And you've also been honored by the queen and now even Nancy Reagan. You're going to get an award from the Reagan family.

GIULIANI: Yeah, that means — I probably — I can't express to you how much that means to me to get a freedom medal from the Ronald Reagan Library and from Mrs. Reagan. I worked for Ronald Reagan for two years directly, and then for longer than that when I was U.S. attorney, but more indirectly. And he was a model for me of what I thought a leader should be, you know, someone who had a very strong philosophy, very strong belief, didn't govern by public opinion polls, governed by what he believed was right and was someone who was able to inspire and lift America.

And a couple of years ago, two years ago, I gave the annual lecture at the Reagan Library. And the point of that lecture was that I thought that the way Franklin Roosevelt defined the first half of our century as a president, Ronald Reagan defined the second half. So to receive recognition from the Reagan Library and from Mrs. Reagan, it just means a tremendous amount to me.

On The Record with Greta Van Susteren

So what is the relevance of this? 2002? Awards mean squat. What did he actually do? No one can tell us!

Why don't you ask Nancy Reagan. She gave him the Ronald Reagan Freedom Award.

She sure did.

The Ronald Reagan Freedom Award

Ronald Reagan's greatest legacy to the world is freedom. His strength of character and bedrock belief in right and wrong ended the Cold War and his leadership unshackled the yoke of tyranny for millions who have known only oppression. Thus, it is fitting that the highest honor awarded by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation carries the name of the 40th President of the United States. This prestigious award is bestowed upon those who have made monumental and lasting contributions to the cause of freedom. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Freedom Award recognizes the courage of an individual who has promoted freedom around the world. Each year, the Foundation presents the Freedom Award to an individual who embodies President Reagan's lifelong belief that one man or woman truly can make a difference.

Past Reagan Presidential Freedom Award Recipients:

March 8, 2002

The Honorable Rudolph W. Giuliani

April 5, 2000
