January 29, 2007

A Giuliani fund-raiser will be held Jan. 29 in Pacific Palisades, Calif., at the home of Bill Simon, the 2002 Republican candidate for governor of California, costing $2,300 a person and $4,600 per couple.

January 30, 2007:

Mary Bono’s campaign is sponsoring a golf event to raise funds for Giuliani’s committee on Tuesday, at the Rancho Mirage home and golf course of Edra Blixseth, Porcupine Creek Golf Club. Information: (310) 500-4284 or by e-mail at events@marybono.com

February 1, 2007:

Texas Republican contributors are being solicited to spend $30,000 for dinner with former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston Feb. 1 to finance his “presidential exploratory committee.” The “private” dinner will follow a 6:30 to 8 p.m. cocktail reception, costing $2,100 a person and $4,200 for couples.

The best-known host of Giuliani’s Houston event is billionaire oilman T. Boone Pickens Jr., chairman of the private equity firm BP Capital Management. Also on Giuliani’s Texas fund-raising team are Tom Hicks, whose company owns the Texas Rangers baseball team; oil industry executive Jim Lee; and lawyer Patrick C. Oxford.

Those who support the killing of babies are baby-killers. Get it?

Giuliani: Which would be that I would help her with taking care of the baby. But if the ultimate choice of the woman - my daughter or any other woman - would be that in this particular circumstance [if she had] to have an abortion, I'd support that. I'd give my daughter the money for it."

Worse yet, Giuliani even supports partial birth abortion:

"I'm pro-choice. I'm pro-gay rights,Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. "No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing," he responded." -- CNN.com, "Inside Politics" Dec 2, 1999+

Is someone keeping track of this anti-Reagan FRiberals? I hope so.

Nah, the Reagan trashing will probably continue unabated.

I really don't have a problem with that - the more they trash Reagan, the worse they look. No one likes a pigeon that craps on a wonderful statue.

No really, did you know that Rudy is NOT a social conservative? Boy that's going to make them mad :-)

I heard that Rudy once stayed in a Holiday Inn Express, so that should qualify him as President as well.

I dunno, hate isn't anything I do. You seem to use the word a lot. Is hate a big part of you and your life?

Over one million abortions were performed in New York City while Rudy Giuliani was Mayor.

Well, he did that the night before he got the Reagan Medal, so that's double-proof! I'm sold!

Hatred is so destructive to the hater.

Unless, of course, it isn't hate, but valid criticism.

In which case it is vital to continue with such.

Speaking of gay friends, I saw an article just today about Nancy's good friend Truman Capote who was gay. Gosh in today's climate, these people wouldn't have given Reagan a second look for Governor, let alone President.

For sure. That's why they're the unappeasables :-)

Too bad they don't personally adhere to their high standards :-)

Since Roe V Wade New York City has been the abortion capitol of America.

At this point, I'm not even certain a mayor has the qualifications I want in a CIC, so all of the anti-Rudy posts mean little to me.

I like to wait until the first of the candidate debates before I settle on a favorite. I like to see who articulates his positions the best and who can handle himself in debates. I also like to hear all the good ideas brought forth and debated and the bad ideas debated a refuted.

As much as I am against Brownback's WOT positions, I want to hear his flat tax proposal in the debates. I can see "some" good in all of the GOP candidates.

FWIW, I do think the serial spamming and trashing are a waste of bandwidth and really only serve to inflame.

Pity a candidate were he reduced to spamming and unable to articulate his own views. Ditto for supporters and detracters of various candidates.

Well, you know what they say about making lemonade from lemons.

We're gonna need a lot of sugar over the next few months.

"Hatred is hatred. And you can't hide yours. Do you find calling people baby killers an effective way to win hearts and minds?"

Do you think killing innocent babies is a way to win hearts and minds?

Thanks...I feel pretty smart about that one. I did miss my calling...I couls have been a great political consultant.

By the way I wrongly left Edwards off the list. He could also raise the money or self-finance.
