The GOP leadership sold its soul and sold out its core constituency for the figurative 40 pieces of silver. Whats more, their apologists on this forum expect that all Conservatives should have followed lock-step behind them. Conservatism is an ideology, not a party. If the GOP wants the money, votes, and support of conservatives it must be conservative. We are not here to represent the party, the party is here to represent us. As Reagan once said of the Democratic Party; "it left me, I didn't leave it". Let's see if it can find its way home.
We think a like. These folks are like someone who cuts off their hand to "cure" a headache. Their arm hurts like an SOB, but hey, the headache becomes hardly noticeable. And they consider that progress.
Go read Southack's personal page, since you have such a terrible memory.
At least they held out for an additional ten pieces of silver.
Hey, do y'all realize this is the THIRD vanity by this Michael Weiner zealot in two days?
ROTFLOL!
Looks like he's pulling a typical unappeasable stunt with it too. As soon as things didn't go his way on this thread he quit. He's probably off complaining somewhere about how his thread left him.
These all or nothings are ALWAYS delighted to get NOTHING! Since, as the saying goes, "misery loves company", when the rest of us are then miserable too, they revel in the collective unhappiness.
40 allowing for inflation.
And he can't even get a simple allusion to a Bible story correct. Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh...what a maroon!
Nope, just a mistake by an idiot!

Amen, and pass the mustard gas.
Amen, bro. I was watching that 1992 GOP convention speech and while I knew it was rougher than the norm, and that Pat would face criticism, the next morning people were suggesting he was like David Duke.
Here's a challenge, zarf -- read Buchanan's speech and tell me what's "Hitler immitation" about it.
Don't chicken out.
What a total waste of bandwidth and font. This is your third pouting rant. Good grief. You're making a fool of yourself. Have you no pride at all? LOL
FR is now stuffed, from wall to wall, with these mindless vanities, IN NEWS, and it's disgusting!
I think its important not to assume why we lost the election quite yet. The Exit poll data along with a hundred other things need to be analyzed.
Some are saying the Evangelical vote felt betrayed. Somehow I doubt that because I can't imagine what they would feel betrayed about. Also according to the exit poll data we have seen their main concern was Iraq and making sure we stay the course
As to "conservatism" issue. It might play a part in certain races. But I am looking at some big time conservatives that went down. I doubt the conservative base was punishing them.
Just saying we don't need to buy into theries why the GOP lost yesterday till we analyze all the data and the indivdual races.
One note to the conservatives. Not everything is Congress. Govt officals by themselves cannot change attitudes. Look at our loss on the stem cell issue in Missouri. What about the Pro life defeat in South Dakota. Just saying it appears that WE have not made the sell to our fellow citizens on some issues. You just can't expect Congressman x to do it for us.
Indeed. We should all post vanities! Lord knows every thought of ours is worthy of a separate thread! WOO-HOO!
Sadly, that's not gonna happen. They're determined to take FreeRepublic down, too, to "teach Dubyah a lesson."
