Mich. Rock star Ted Nugent is speaking out again, this time for Michigan Republican U-S Senate candidate Mike Bouchard.
Nugent and Bouchard, the Oakland County, Michigan, sheriff, met with supporters tonight before the "Motor City Madman" performed at a Sault Sainte Marie casino.
Bouchard faces Troy minister Keith Butler in the August-eighth G-O-P primary. The winner will face incumbent Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow in November.
The 57-year-old Nugent lived in Michigan most of his life before moving in 2003 to Crawford, Texas -- where President Bush has a ranch. Nugent endorsed Bouchard in January.

Hopefully, Bouchard's campaign will start gaining traction after the primary.
I like Butler as a person and I like his ads. They make him seem very likable but Bouchard seems to recognize that illegal immigration is an issue.
Butler also came out against the Michigan Civil Rights Initiative on his web site. That pretty much turned me off to him. Bouchard has been silent on that, as far as I know.
Well, one of these two Republicans need to step down and endorse the other. There is no need for a bruising GOP primary here against perhaps the most inept, flaccid politician in Congress, and I'd rather take Brouchard because of his law-enforcement background.
