BOB CORKER DOUBLE TALK On Being Pro-Life
Ed Bryant For Senate ^ | July 3, 2006

Bob Corker working against pro-life legislation that would have prohibited state funds from being used for abortions

"While state finance commissioner, Mr. Corker did not support the addition of an anti-abortion budget amendment, [Tennessee Right to Life president Brian] Harris said. ...'It came at the 11th hour, right before the budget was to be passed,' [Corker political director Todd] Womack said. 'At that point, it was not appropriate to add any amendments to the budget.'" (Chattanooga Times Free Press, 6/22/06)

Ed Bryant For Senate ping

As a supporter of Life, the Second Amendment, Constitutionalism, high ethical standards, border security, and protecting America from its enemies, Ed Bryant will be a voice for everything that patriots hold dear. He is deserving of support.

I've been having an interesting argument with a nutjob liberal who thinks America should have a one child per couple law. His beliefes are a little sad but it's funny how easilly his argument can be slapped down.

I pointed out that Americans aren't having enough children to hold a stable population. Our rising population is the result of immigrants both legal and illegal. That made him mad so he refused to talk about immigration's role.

I said "OK lets assume there are no immigrants, now our population is in decline. Maybe we should have a 4 or 5 child per couple law." Then he just got mad and said that birth control is illegal in his state but wouldn't say which state that was.

Corker, a deal-meistering pretend conservative who'll do anything (like inundating your InBox via technology) to achieve office has to be smacked down. This reference to China's birth control policies while failing to make his own opinion clear on the matter smacks of "weaselism".

Please vote for Ed Bryant in the upcoming Senatorial election.

I have a bad feeling Corker is going to win because the conservative vote is split between Bryant and Van Hilleary.

I have a bad feeling Corker is going to win because the conservative vote is split between Bryant and Van Hilleary.

That's not why though. This clown has too many {friends} scattered here and there. The mayor of Knox County {Corker family friend} for one who grew up close to him in Bradley County, Congressman Zack Wamp {Chattanooga} who a few weeks ago was making recorded message phone calls another. Wamps district extends as far north as Anderson County taking in Oak Ridge also. This man also has a lot of D.C. backing unfortunately :>{ Wamp disappointed me by supporting him over Hilleary or Bryant {before the primaries} and that will weigh heavy with me in likely not supporting Wamp in future campaigns.

This man does not deserve support even in the general election. What the article fails to say was when he was Fiance Commissioner. I was under our second worst governor. The governor who came very close to putting Tennessee into bankruptcy with his out of control Social Spending. It's real bad when a Liberal Dem governor has ran a much more fiscal conservative administration than a two term Republican. It's the truth.

Like the Dim Wit Lamar {Big Goverment} Alexander who's sole political legacy before going to the senate was being a better governor than a felon he replaced, this election is forcing yet another a media and DC sponsored {chosen} candidate. He is the most liberal of the three just as Alexander was when Bryant ran against him. Corker is the one most likely to loose to Ford.

Sounds like Corker pulls a Teddy Kennedy, and when it's convenient and popular to do so, he will vote for the right thing...
