Chris Cox has resigned. Bob Dornan will announce his intentions next week, but has ruled out leaving the GOP.

Marilyn Brewer endorsed by Sen. John McCain

That doesn't exactly give her a great deal of credibility.

Can B-1 Bob win in this district?

I doubt it, as he's never lived there and is yesterday's political news. But he could siphon away enough Republican voters for Brewer to win.

In 1998, Marilyn Brewer won the GOP primary for state Assembly with 34% because two pro-life opponents split the conservative vote almost evenly. If Dornan runs, a similar outcome is plausible.

So she's pro-abortion. Great...so her endorsement by McCain was a sign of things to come.

"Dornan has ruled out leaving the GOP."

That's nice, but he might actually do more damage in the primary.

"How good is Campbell"?

I'm not too well informed about him, but we do regard Brewer as a RINO. He's clearly preferable to her.

John Campbell is highly intelligent, a Certified Public Accountant with a background in the automobile industry. Ideologically, he's conservative, but very much a wheeler-dealer who doesn't stick to his guns. But that's partly because he's in such a liberal-dominated legislature. He might be more reliable in a Republican majority.

In Cox's district, Dornan would be considered the "ultra-waco".

"Campbell is NOT preferable."

I'm open to your viewpoint, but can you give some examples?
