Ex-delegate assumes party post
As new leader of the state's Democratic Party, Cranwell comes out firing at the GOP
by Tyler Whitley
WILLIAMSBURG -- Former Del. C. Richard Cranwell showed he has lost none of his take-no-prisoners rhetoric as he took the helm of the Democratic Party of Virginia yesterday.
FROM LAST WEEK
NRA says Kaine ad misleading, wants it halted
Candidate defends spot that uses remark by Charlton Heston

The National Rifle Association is shooting at Democratic gubernatorial candidate Timothy M. Kaine.
Kilgore refuses to debate Potts
Says he and Kaine should debate, as 'candidates that can actually win' the race
by Jeffy Schapiro
Jerry W. Kilgore, the Republican nominee for governor, said yesterday he is willing to face Democrat Timothy M. Kaine in organized debates, but not independent H. Russell Potts Jr.
There's more, but you get the point...
VA: Kilgore 46% Kaine 40% (Poll for VA governor)
VA President 2008: Warner 46% Allen 41% (Rasmussen Poll)
Absolutely no way Marky Mark beats George Allen in an actual race for ANYTHING in Virginia...
...well unless it's a contest for best horse-faced damnyankee carpet baggin' tax-hikin' lying thru his horse teeth liar.
Monday Ping
I don't know what to make of the Allen/Warner poll. I'm guessing too many calls the blue zone.
Simple. Warner's got more good ink lately, in spite of the tax hike, the press loves him and talks about him all the time.
This time next year, when he's out of office, no one will remember who he is.
and I'm sure we will be more than helpful in that collective amnesia :)
Lets also remember these polls tend to sometimes have a name screwup between marky mark and Jawn Warner.
GOP assails Warner estimate
House members say his staff failed to predict Va. revenue, call tax increases unnecessary
by Michael Hardy
The state's gusher of a budget surplus exploded yesterday into partisan criticism of the poor revenue forecasting by Gov. Mark R. Warner's administration.
State revenue is soaring -- thanks to you
General-fund intake growing at 5th-fastest rate in the country
by Bob Rayner
The state of Virginia is hauling in the cash, courtesy of its taxpayers.
ONCE AND FOR ALL, THERE WAS NEVER A BUDGET CRISIS. THE TAX HIKE WAS COMPLETELY UNECESSARY
Look Who's Talking
The average voter should be forgiven for thinking the Democratic gubernatorial candidate is named Delacey, not Tim -- and the Republican candidate is named Tim, not Jerry.
Thanks for the warning.
And this stupid P-I-T-A governor just exercised his "emergency powers" to take over Old City Hall. Now I have to move. SOB. What the heck is the emergency??????
And yesterday - did you hear that idiot, Mac Watson, go on and on about Joe Biden being a viable candidate for president in '08. It was enough to make me heave.
What is is a full moon or what - all the nuts are out in full force.
The full moon is either tonight or tomorrow.
I've got to scoot now - I'm in charge of 7 kids today and need to get down to my friends' house so I will read the articles when I get there.......but just the titles alone raised my pressure.
As for biden - DO NOT get my started on that slimeball........
What? What's that all about???
And yeah, I heard Mac Watson raving about Joe Biden.
Watson is a moron. I only listen to him when I can't get a clear enough signal to listen to Sean.
Here's the link to the RTD article.
I'm so aggravated with this POS governor. How many days until Kilgore is sworn in????

Just when I think he's ok - not great but tolerable. Like last Friday when he was all over the Durban debacle, he turns around and pulls this crap about Biden. Does he not understand who the core audience is??? The only reason I listen to that idiot is that he's on after Rush and I can't get a signal for WTOX (and Sean's show).
Aaarrrggghhh! I need a vacation.
If I was counting, I'd say 207 days...
Iceskater - Feel free to post your displeasure here: Mac is an idiot
When Rush goes off the air at 3p.m. I quickly switch over to 104.7 FM for some hard-hitting gospel music.
That way I'm further fortified and the ears are not assaulted by that screeching adolescent voice.
I have no clue who the guy is because I am so radio stationed challenged here that for conservative talk radio (other than Rush) I have to "try" to get Baltimore or Ocean City, MD - I can't even get Norfolk. If I'm in the car, I can usually get Sean out of OC.
Otherwise - I just listen to country - like I've been doing for nearly 30 years :)
He's local Richmond - on after Rush. He's all over the board. One day he's great (all over Durbin) and the next day promoting Joe Biden for Pres in '08. The day that Pope Benedict was announced he did this sick thing running a tape of Hitler in the background while he talked about the new pope. It was waaaaaaaay over the top. A lot of people were really offended by that.
He's inconsistent. Rude. Obnoxious. Stupid.
Then I'm glad I can't hear him :)
