Excerpt.....
RICHMOND -- The races for the Republican nominations for lieutenant governor and attorney general are setting fund-raising records as four of the candidates have crossed the $1 million mark 5 1/2 months away from the primary.

State Sen. Bill Bolling of Hanover County and Sean Connaughton, chairman of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors, are locked in a battle of the bucks in their quest to win their party's nomination for lieutenant governor in the June 14 primary.

TOPICS: Virginia; Campaign News
KEYWORDS: bolling; connaughton; gopprimary; governor; kaine; kilgore; ltgovernorvirginia; virginia
CONNAUGHTON LEADS ALL CANDIDATES IN LATEST FUNDRAISING REPORT. Connaughton began his efforts last March. He has raised more than $1,000,000 in the ensuing ten months. For the most recent six-month period, Connaughton reported contributions of $503,000. His nearest rival, State Senator Bill Bolling is reported in today’s press as having raised $411,000 in the same period. Connaughton thus continued his fund-raising dominance of Bolling, having out raised the candidate from Mechanicsville by almost a 2-to-1 ratio in the period that closed June 30, 2004. http://Connaughton4ltgov.com

I still get State Sen. Bill Bolling email report and Jerry Kilgores email.

I moved back to Buffalo 2 years ago.
I was involved with a few campaigns while I was there.
I lived in Fluvanna County and still get their communications from Feda Kidd the Chair.

I wish them the best of luck, Jerry Kilgore is a good man.

"Lt. Gov. Timothy M. Kaine is trying to do to Attorney General Jerry W. Kilgore what the Swift Boaters did to U.S. Sen. John F. Kerry in the 2004 presidential campaign: hit him below the water line."

Problem fer Kaine is that Kilgore never committed war crimes or aided and abetted our enemies during a time of war...Hanoi John Kerry most certainly did. Kaine's a small little pri%* and is gonna get his arse handed to him!!

FReegards...MUD

The only true thing that Shapiro said in his pro-dem opinion piece is that Kaine has not yet begun to feel the effects of the repubs highlighting his record.

Switch may be a Capitol idea
As the building undergoes work, moving inauguration to Williamsburg proposed

The inauguration of a new governor next January may be moved from Richmond to Colonial Williamsburg because of renovations to the state Capitol...

...The inauguration will be Jan. 14, a Saturday.
