Republican renegade Warren Redlich, who is challenging U.S. Rep. Michael McNulty, spoke at a debate sponsored by the Schenectady League of Women Voters on Oct. 20 [, 2004]. Redlich has criticized McNulty for supporting the Patriot Act and the Iraq war, and recently showed up on the message boards of the RFK Democratic Club to make his case to people who said they could never vote for a Republican even though they strongly disliked McNulty.
Ok, but who's worse OVERALL: McNulty or Redlich?
I vote on 3 major issues (as a Christian):
(1) abortion
(2) Israel
(3) homosexuality
Other issues are important to me, but if we have a God-fearing leader who prays and asks God for wisdom, and recognizing that the above 3 issues will result in either blessing or judgment for our nation, then everything else is less relevant and should hopefully fall into place.
I can't vote in this race--pulling the lever for Sweeney (albeit with a somewhat sour taste in my mouth after having met him).
opensecrets.org reports a $1,000 contribution from Republicans for Choice to Redlich:
