Who are some famous or well-known Republicans? Is anyone else getting really discouraged by all of the interviews with Hollywood stars that endorse Kerry or bash Bush? I was wondering if y'all knew any people who support the President. I know of a few people like Charlton Heston, Bruce Willis, I think I heard that Lara Flynn Boyle was a supporter... anyone else? It isn't fair that all of the main-stream people have to be completely one-sided! Give me some encouragement!
Will the RNC get as much press and hooplah as the DNC is getting?
'Tis a shame I had the unfortunate pleasure of being born about 40 years too late and missing out on actors and entertainers with some real talent.
Thank God for AMC.
Apparently Denzel stood up for the team recently. Forgive me if this is redundant from somewhere. I got this via email today......so, in it's entirety (unsure if true--can anyone substantiate?):
Yep, John Q, was nothing but a two-hour DNC campaign ad.
Since your initial post asked for encouragement I'll jump in with my quick 2 cents. I think most-I repeat- MOST -not all- celebrities are just knee-jerk liberals with no real commitment to anything except their own fame. They spout liberal garbage since they'll usually get no guff for it in their professional circles plus spouting liberal bull is always a short-cut to seeming "deep" and "intellectual." We need to keep being loud and sending signals that dumping on our country and everything it stands for WILL hurt them at the box office.
And when celebrities pretend that's a "free speech" issue, that's nonsense. For all their "artistic" pretentions they are simply in a SALES position. They want us to buy tickets to their movies or concerts or buy their DVDs or music, etc but we don't have to if they openly affiliate themselves with the Democraps. Especially if they obnoxiously insist on sharing political views that noone wants to hear anyway! It's kind of like if a car sales rep walks up to potential customers wearing a shirt that says either "Abortion is murder" or "I vote pro-choice." Either way they're going to alienate plenty of potential customers but by refusing to buy a car from the guy they aren't tampering with his right to free speech. They're just exercising their own freedom to not line the pocket of someone who stupidly flaunts their political views unnecessarily.
