Cain to Democrats: Quit holding our tax dollars hostage
U.S. Senate candidate wants Americans to keep money
March 16, 2004
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Herman Cain condemned Senate Democrats for playing politics with President Bushs tax cuts. The tax cuts are scheduled to expire at the end of the decade and the President has called on Congress to make them permanent. A new Senate ruling has passed, which requires at least 60 votes to approve tax cuts or spending increases made in the next five years.
The new rule is a direct attack on our President and we need Senators that will stop these ridiculous partisan games, said Cain. This is our money, not the governments, and liberals in the Senate shouldnt make it so difficult for us to keep our money.
Once again, the Senate Democrats are playing politics, and this time the American public will pay for it, Cain continued. By changing the simple majority vote on tax cuts to a required 60-votes passage rule, the liberals are trying to apply even more red tape to a system that is already messed-up. This is just another reason why we need more conservative, common sense representatives in the United States Senate.
Cain concluded, President Bush and the American people need more leaders willing to stand up to the likes of John Kerry, Tom Daschle, Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton and their destructive policies. We need to focus on solutions to our Nations problems, instead of creating more barriers to fixing them.

Herman Cain would be a tremendous US Senator and national Republican leader. I just hope that he can break out of the single digits in the polls. He's the darkhorse candidate, but needs to pick up steam.

Are there any polls that show him ahead of the pack? I just tried some quick look-ups but couldn't get recent poll data...thought I read or heard Cain is now second behind Isakson, the most recognized name and current RINO Congressman (from my district).
There are 3 major candidates...many expect a runoff between the top 2...if it's Cain and Isakson in a final showdown, I think our man wins.

Are there any polls that show him ahead of the pack? I don't know of any polls, but if there was a poll it would definitely show Johnny Isaskson, a RINO, in the lead. But if Isakson doesn't break 50%, there's a runoff between the top two, and Cain is most likely ahead of the third guy, Mac Collins. Many think that Cain can beat Isakson in the runoff.
