Campaign finance reports show Dayton playing catch-up

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Minnesota Sen. Mark Dayton's campaign committee spent most of the $440,000 it raised last year, and the freshman Democrat reached the midpoint of his term with $111,832 in cash, his latest campaign finance report showed.

Rep. Mark Kennedy, R-Minn., a possible challenger to Dayton in a 2006 Senate campaign, raised $657,718 in 2003 and ended the year with $458,610 in cash.

Lawrence Jacobs, a University of Minnesota political scientist, said Dayton's year-end report to the Federal Election Commission "raises a question . . . about how well equipped he is to run for reelection."

"This is the time you start putting your nuts under the tree and getting ready for the start of the winter," said Jacobs, who heads the 2004 Elections Project at the U of M's Humphrey Institute. "And you look underneath the tree and he's got just one nut stored and winter's just around the corner."

Just passing some info along that I just received from a friend who is very politically connected.
I have not idea if it is true BUT it is good stuff to research.
I will let you know what I find. ..................................................................................................................

Ryan is hooked up to the elitists and I believe he is being groomed by the banker community and the Clintons along with John Corizine, Ryan's old partner from the banking business, a former Chicagoan who spent 40 million to buy the senatorial seat in New Jersey and Rahm Emanual- Clintons former chief of staff from Highland Pk. now holding Blagoevichs seat over in my old 5th ward.

Jon Corzine and Jack Ryan Business partners at Goldman and Sachs

Goldman Sachs
Goldman Sachs is one of Wall Street’s most prestigious investment banks. Like others in the securities industry, it advises and invests in nearly every industry affected by federal legislation. The firm closely monitors issues including economic policy, trade and nearly all legislation that governs the financial sector. It has been a major proponent of privatizing Social Security as well as legislation that would essentially deregulate the investment banking/securities industry. In August 2002, following months of corporate scandals, congressional investigators launched a probe into whether stock analysts at Goldman Sachs issued biased investment advice in order to protect corporate clients. The firm tends to give most of its money to Democrats—a fact that might not be so surprising, considering its former chief executive is Sen. Jon Corzine (D-N.J.).

"Mark Kennedy has to face self-funding Janet Robert again in 2004, who he beat in 2002."

If Janet Robert runs again in 2004, she will certainly lose again, which would make it harder for her if the seat opens up in 2006 when Mark Kennedy runs for the Senate. Am I confusing her with someone else or is Robert pro-life? That's the right kind of Democrat to run in a St. Cloud-centered district.

With Pawlenty running for reelection in 2006, it would be very difficult for the ultra-liberal Mark Dayton to defeat Mark Kennedy. RUN, MARK, RUN!
